Armored Unhold advice
This is my longest playthrough I've managed, and first time I've survived the disaster. Also first time the disaster wasn't orcs. But I wanna ask how to deal with these dudes. Every barb pack has them. Is there a specialized base nearby maybe, that produces them? Is there something I can kill to make them less common? I'm legitimately not sure, but Unhold's are scary when they are lumbering next to 3-4 reavers

Hold them with shield bros away from your team. Kill all barbs first and finish unholds after that,

Possible. Though I only have 2 shieldmen. Most my front liners wield two handed hammers, axes/bardiches, and giant maces

put indom tanks on them

have high HP/brow/AFP on your 2h forged bros that hit them, or hit them with highish HP nimble bros

don't leave back-liners adjacent to your melee bros that are hitting unholds--they will flip.

Net them

Daze them with mace

Slaughter 2h chosen/reavers before you waste time hitting unholds--they are the barbarian tanks

That's a day count thing. They become much more common after around day 100.

I'm always happy to see them, they're much better than pure Chosen camps. :brotherskull:

make sure you distact their handlers. sometimes they cant even hold unholds on their own - starting to attack them with lashes and those guys just go full rampage and demolish thier own team.
armored unholds are like timebombs - just make sure one dont explode while in your hands.

That sounds like hell. But yeah, tbh I somewhat preferred when it was maybe 1/5 packs having one, as rn it feels like 9/10 do. Its seemingly copy paste 1 beastmaster, 3-4 reavers, 1 chosen, 2 drummers, and of course armored boy and maybe a warhound or 2. Killed a King of the North yesterday, but I think thats a champion who only spawned for the quest, they were scary asf, did more damage than an Unhold

Typically there handlers stay just out of the range of my crossbows. So if I deal with them, the Unhold frenzies and it becomes a 1 v 1 v 1?

I really need to start using nets... I didn't even know you COULD net large monsters like Unhold and Lindwurm

Yes Armored Unhold go Free For All if the beastmaster is dead or not able to whip them during fight.

No way. I find Chosens easier.
