Declining/negotiating contracts impact on relations
Does anyone know if negotiating the terms of a contract (without asking for more pay), and leaving it there has any impact on relations? Or does declining it after it's been negotiated (but not accepted) have any positive/negative impact?

I tend to get the details on every available contract and then take whichever I want and ghost the town on the ones that are lame/too hard lol. But lately I've been declining them once I have the details, in the hopes that either a new contract will pop up sooner, or it helps relations more than ghosting the settlement. Which would make sense, but I don't know if any of it actually has an impact.

The only relations hit you can take when looking at contracts is when asking for more money. If you don't ask for more money and then later decline the contract there is no penalty.

One thing to note even though it's not exactly the same thing as your question, if you look at an Arena fight and decide to accept it (such that the collars are in your inventory), but then later choose the option to decline the fight you take a penalty to your renown, so accepting and declining an Arena fight is not a good way to try and get it to refresh to a new fight faster.

From some experimentation, it seems like you gain a little extra positive influence on relations if you don't negotiate. I've started doing that until I get a fairly high reputation, and then I start negotiating again. I didn't write down the data I saw during my experiments, and I haven't looked at the code. I might just be losing money I could have gotten.
