So, strange meats
Considering Unholds and Direwolves drop these.
Is it safe to assume strange meats don't always mean ... long pigs, now?

It could also mean ork, goblin, alp, other unhold, erm....kraken sushi? Or from the grand reserve, emperor ham?

Yes, it is safe. You can't prevent that they eat it, when it is in your inventory.

I would honeslty enjoy some kind of horrifying event revolving around the strange meat. Perhaps your wildmen would find it extra enjoyable, or somebody would realise what it was they were eating and gain the "sickened" condition?
