Once in position, don't attack with your tank, just shieldwall or indomitable. If you only attack with 2-tile weapons, you won't get acid on you. If you get a few scale and create a few lindwurm cloaks, then you can really start knocking them down with 1-2 2h cleaver bros. a few whips with overwhelm can help also.
There is definitely always a bit of RNG in lindwurms, because they hit hard. So, take that into account. You can lure a group towards town and into soldiers and then 3rd party them, but that's a crutch. Good luck!
Overwhelm is helpful if your tanks can't get down to 5% hit chances on their own.
Bring Smokes or Rotations just in case a tank or somebody gets into trouble.
Focus one at a time if you can, though Handgonnes can potentially deal a lot of spread damage if you get two or three wurms to bunch up.
Lindwurms are also bugged right now to not deal any armor ignoring damage, so that makes them less threatening than they should be.
I like archers for that because you can move them further back, otherwise they are easy to target.
They are still very dangerous in larger numbers like 6-7 because they take so long to kill. Eventually your tanks are going to get hit, and they can't take that many hit.
The acid blood doesn't help, but I did buy a helmet that at least protects the head of one of my tanks.
Lindwurm cloak add-on will protect your armor. With the helmet, you can have a 2hander meleeing them for pretty good damage and immune to acid. You want really high mdef, obviously.
I prefer the Hyena and direwolf ones. It helps with going first and breaking my opponents.
Those don't really help much with lindwurms, which is the purpose of this thread.
The Direwolf does because of the overwhelm and fear combo. The Hyena makes sure that even my slowest people get to hit first.
Yea, probably, I still do it... Sometimes it even works :D
