Medium Armour - Nimble or Forged?
What is the optimal choice for brothers who don't have enough fat for full on heavy armour, but enough for hauberk and helm of about 150-180?

It appears that neither choice is really super appealing in this situation

Isn't Head+Body armor for Nimble was around that 150-180 you mention?

Honestly if it was back line brothers you can you without any of those too but if it was front line brothers you really need one of them or you will almost injured every time you got hit from late game enemy.

If his FAT really that low you can try minimum FAT usage by use 2H weapon + mastery for that brother.

Well specifically with the armour set i'm talking about nimble is reducing damage to health by 23% and forged is giving me 13% damage reduction to armour

both seem a little underwhelming compared to guys with proper light armour (seeing a 60% health damage reduction) or good heavy armour (about 30% armour damage reduction)

So i guess the real reason is you don't have good heavy armor atm right?
If so then you can skip that perk for now and spent it on other perk until you can get good armor for him.

Just make sure you have enough point to spend on those perk before reach lv11 since you gain nor more perk point after that.

I have this problem as well, especially when I get something like a named medium armor that's too heavy for proper nimble. I typically end up using it mid-late game for starter armor when I add a new bro.

The OP said he was referring to bros that just aren't going to be good at fatigue.

lol, imagine being so late game that legendary armor is given to the rookie

It's not really that late game. It's sort of a gap. Seems to happen in several game systems really.

Sometimes there's named medium armor you can use with nimble and it's great.

Bad FAT still can manage. I have one brother in my team that only have 33-40 FAT after wear armors and weapons. I let him use 2H weapons + QH swtich with another reach weapon so he can still attack enemy with 3 tiles always before he start move.

What happens when he loses fat from being attacked a lot?
Well I guess that answers the question then, go nimble - because he will never be able to wear heavy armour but might be able to find a suitable light armour one day

What are the rest of this bro's stats and level?

Good luck doing anything useful with that loadout.

I'm of the opinion that armour isn't everything. mdef is far more important. armour essentially is there to keep the guy alive long enough to get rescued if he gets into trouble

I don't let him surround by 4-5 enemy. He was usually move with another frontline brothers. Also he got very high M.Def that why i use him even though he has low FAT. (He always roll 2 for FAT every level... seriously :steamfacepalm:)

More ever even if he lose FAT from being attacked, you got 15 FAT when his turn start. I only need 12 FAT for attack. So i can move and attack every turn even if he lose all FAT from attacked before his turn start.

It not that i don't want to raise his FAT but... this is god's will. I gave up on raise his FAT after roll 2 for FAT every levels until he reach lv7... I probably kick him long ago if not for his 3 star M.Def and 2 star M.Atk.

Btw. that brother Armor got for free from Fallen Hero that why his FAT is so low. Since i already gave up on his FAT there no reason for why i shouldn't make it even lower at this point. I can move and attack every turn anyway. For good heavy armor with lower weight i keep it for another bros that need more FAT to use instead. :steamlaughcry:

If you want to go medium armor, then you'll want to buy Noble Mail and a Barbute (or loot a Zweihander Hat or Assassin Hat). You pick Nimble. Forge value will be weak at this level. If you are only seeing a 77% displayed Nimble with less than 200 armor than you are using really inefficient armor pieces. Lowering the armor to get better Nimble value will almost certainly be better for you.

If your HP isn't terrible then often you are better off going for 40% Nimble. Medium armor Nimble will help more against things like Goblins and Gilded, but make you worse against anything that has any punch to their attacks.

I am a simple creature, driven by big numbers. I'd pick the one which gives you the most ehp for the armour you intend to give them.
