Also trading goods get a bonus in selling rates if you sell them in a different region. Most things belong to the center region. Furs belong to northern region. Incense/Spices belong to South.
The only thing seed effects is whether or not you have good towns to buy or sell at through how they generated.
An ideal scenario would be having a large selling city very close to the 3 southern city states.
This is how all goods work.
Your not going to make more than 30 or 40% very often but its free money when you have the space (you can often make 10-20% instantly just by heading to the closest city.
Otherwise, they're hardly worth it.
