Blade Dancer and Sword Master

i love the game but what in the absolute OP BS are these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mobs in the arena. blade dancer i got lucky with a stun and he only spawned with 1 guy. its fun and challenging up to this point but i dont see how you are supposed to beat a sword master with 2 other shield guys with him.

Pull out a 1h axe/shield to get rid of enemy shields, 2 dead before 1 shield down, reset
pull out 2h axe to get rid of enemy shields, decapitated immediatly, reset
swarm him with all 3, 2 mace and a dagger + shields, dont land a single hit IN 6 TURNS, all dead, reset
swarm him with all 3, 2 mace with nets with dagger, get a stun off, get net off, miss 3 times with assassinate with them stunned+net, proceeds to decapitate 1 mace before get shield back on, miss next stun, go 2 rounds then try to net again, kills net, just end turn let him kill 3rd, game over and never going back to arena again on any proceeding play throughs

like im fine with challenging mechanics or tough mobs, but having something in the game purely to be a run killer? what the f?

(i had 82, 79, 78 for atk on guys and all 3 had 22+ melee defense with the quick reflex talent for the 15% additional before anyone says its cuz of stats, i've used the 3 man gladiator start to pretty much do and kill everything so far out in the world, so i figured a 3 man arena fight for a measly 920g would be fine, LOL)

I wonder how you would feel fighting their champion versions.

Honestly those melee skill and melee defense numbers are average and the blade dancer is an elite unit with 90 melee skill and 50 melee defense plus dodge and 18 other perks. Your bros were outclassed.

He have 80 melee defense. Trying to melee a swordmaster is like trying to crack pavement with eggs.

You can't reliably beat swordmasters in melee combat, but you can switch to throwing weapons and make him your pincushion :) As Col-Doge said, you just didn't have the right setup for that fight. Which sucks, yep, but it doesn't mean the fight is unwinnable per se.

The regular versions aren't so bad imo, but I agree that the champion versions could use some downtuning, especially champion sword masters.
