HH only effects the primary hit of Split Man. The secondary does not interact with it at all. In other words, it works the same way as any other weapon.

Sadly I don't know the exact math behind it but instead of using a two-handed axe you could probably go for an axe duelist because the one-handed axe deals an additional 50 % HP dmg when hitting the head. Duelists are pretty good dmg dealers by themselves.

A normal hit to the head should theoretically pretty much waste a lot of enemies already. Getting a second one with headhunter could be quite helpful.

As always you should get a good named axe (well, pray for it anyway...), preferably with a higher chance to hit the head, increased dmg or armor piercing.

yeah, duelist add 25% AID while 1hand axe add 50% hp damage to head is really good combination

Can't you do something like use 2H-Axe then quick hand it to other weapon?
But i doubt it will really worth switch to other weapon instead of keep hit them with your 2H-Axe.

use flail lash then quick hand to 1hand axe seem more viable to me, havent test yet

New Head hunter for Mace and AOE weapon only!

I was thinking something similar to this earlier today. I have a juggler recruit with the brute trait and 2 stars in melee attack. Normally I would just designate him as a flail user and be done with it but the axe's 50% bonus damage on head hits is very appealing to me. It would kill lots of enemies if it were to connect with the head but even if it doesn't it should hit a high enough damage that you'll be dishing out injuries readily.

I imagine a build where you have a head hunter axe duelist who lands a headshot kill on the first hit, activates berserk and killing frenzy, kills the second guy and then hits the third for a heavy head injury. RNG would be a major factor in the build but I can see a lot of potential with this.

1h orc axe HH is probably nasty good, but orc axe is already king of the hill by itself in terms of damage alone.

i guess swordmaster is the best for this build right ? 3 star matt swordmaster when survive long enough will have a steady 95% hit chance, but since swordmaster have low fat he should be equipeed with name axe instead of orc axe, most ideal scenario is you can find a + head hit chance axe, otherwise bring a wooden flail a lightest one and use lash then switch back to axe
