Ambition: find a character with three times three stars and train him to be a god of war!

Okay so if you've seen the ambition you know the one i'm talking about. I picked this ambition up at about day 40 knowing full well that i've never seen a 9 star bro and hoping that either there are 9 star bros in the new DLC or that the ambition itself encourages such a bro to the generated. I've had the recruiter since before that (im playing cultists in this game so recruit recruit recruit). It's now day ~230 and i've been hiring and firing about 5 guys every town i visit for what i consider a long time. So now i'm at the stage where im thinking this ambition isn't even possible.

How are the rest of you faring with it?

You do know that stars are random? So ofc getting 3 stars in 3 stats is a very low chance to happen. In 500 hours I got ONLY one good hedge knight with 3 stars in MD, 2 stars in Ma and fat.
One guy posted exact star chances and they very very low.

There's a 1/1000 chance of getting 9 stars. Better off to just cancel the ambition unless you enjoy this kind of thing.

if that three start is on melee defence omg that would be THE ♥♥♥♥, but it is still good tank, and i didn't know there is an ambition like that sounds messed up.

@ OP: That ambition is just plain silly. Apart from the god of war Suejak just posted, I have never even seen a guy with triple stars on three stats in over 1K hours of play. I am extremely pleased to see so much as two stars on two stats. My guess is the devs had a bit of fun with this ambition.

Haha same here. I never pick this ambition. I've never hired a character that had 3 stars on 3 different stats.

This ambition is way to difficult to fulfill.

I must admit it's a motivating ambition. I'm picking up more 8 star guys than I ever have on a single run. I think by the time I do find a 9 star it'll me a moot point...

FYI: Retroactive Ambitions makes this ambition much less painful. Instead of having to lug this ambition around, you can just do other things instead. If you happen to find Captain Nine Stars, just toss him in the reserve and pick this ambition the next time you're offered it.

That's a good question. With a handful of exceptions, ambitions permanently leave the pool after being completed. I don't know if abandoning them counts as completion.

there is the starter bro with 9 stars. does anyone know if dastard can be cured by peasant militia? I had heard the companions had an event to cure it, anything similar? too bad dastard really ruins that bro, who could have been good.

Event spoiler: If you have 2 brothers with either Brave or Fearless, Dastard can be removed from the character in an event. Your dastard has to be level 3 minimum.
