maybe a few stun pots would have also worked good. and maybe smokebombs to get brothers away from him.
but, yes. the Bladedancers are insane, the champions even more.
I think they need to remove the Anticipation perk, so that you got a chance at hitting them with ranged weapons at least. These as champions are a bit too insane.
as said before:
I've basically wiped a campaign fighting a sword master champion in the arena. I managed to 'beat' a blade dancer champion by tanking him long enough that the enemy retreated and then shield bashed him to safety so he could retreat. But honestly beating these guys is probably the biggest challenge the game can throw at you, including legendary locations.
You should expect a boss-level fight, not an easy payday.
He didn't become a champion bladedancer just so you could roll over him and take his ♥♥♥♥.
Anyway, nets are not the only option. You could also fire pot, daze pot, goblin poison, spider poison, bleed, or any combination of the above.
Honestly though, before blazing deserts that's exactly what champions were, a free piece of named gear. I'm not saying that the change is wrong, but it sure as hell is jarring.
I think they should be toned down quite a bit. You only have a chance against them with massive consumable use. And a slim one at best.
And while using proper equipment for each fight should make them easier, the increaseddemand for consumables is not a step in a good direction.
