Lone Wolf Perk
What is your recommendation for the best build and weapon(s) in support of a Brother utilizing the Lone Wolf Perk?

Curious to see different builds for Nimble vs BF and which is more prevalent.

It's hard to make work on even the best brothers, being on his own will require high resolve and defenses.

Even fora LW you aren't going to want to be surrounded by 6 enemies so sword is probably the best. Aoe attack with reach advantage and berserk +LW will give for some high melee defenses, but if he is fleeing from so many morale rolls they can still die easier than you would want.

Basically i think any possible LW brother will also make a great corner front line 2h wrecker

I'm still a rookie to this game as I'm on my first play thru but seems separating your bros is typically not beneficial. I've been considering using my nimble duelist to hunt down ranged and such but risk is pretty high.

I have only had success with one LW brother, and that was a BF shield tank, using a spear as a weapon (for spear wall and extra hit). He had three stars on md, ranged def, and one on resolve. His main job is to bait and tank, he stays one step ahead of the team (always walks forward first turn EXCEPT against undead/skeles/necromancers as I usually like to walk back until I find a good spot to defend on the map if there is one) to set up easy attacks with brothers with reach weapons. The LW bait tank is also good for setting up surrounds on the enemy, as you can move your front line around all the enemies who try to gank the LW. It has been effective so far, however I will say that the main contributor for my LW's success has been his talents and stats. I have seen some crazy LW two handed builds (where they just slay) however it seems like a job reserved for a truly blessed brother haha. Try the LW tank build out, it might be useful to you! I know I probably do not have the best build possible with it, but LW has impressed me with shield tanking.

for lone wolf you need two things high will and high damage, getting caught by even 3 enemy is pretty much very high risk. the damage is important if you cant kill them fast enough as lone wolf you will get swarmed, the chose of nimble or bf should depend on the characters hp, however nimble does have the advantage of being able to go overwhelm, this works well with solo dagger duelist.

I've had success with these two bros in my last two runs. First is the Lion who is kind of a cheater because of his unique trait. Second is the Minstrel some of you have likely already seen from the post I made about him.

I like the build on the Minstrel better, but ideally you would have enough Fat to support a 2H Cleaver instead and drop Duelist for something else (Reach or Overwhelm would be good). I like the Cleaver because the Bleed is actually more likely to be relevant than normal as he will have to deal all of his damage by himself (unless you provide ranged support from elsewhere).

High Resolve is a must. Even with 73 base and the LW buff the Minstrel can drop at times, and must retreat from Geists. Ideally I would like to skip on Mind as there are a lot of good perks a LW can use, but depending on the bro it may be needed. I would recommend feeding your LW arena buffs if possible, even if you don't try to use LW there.

I think I like Nimble better, as LW stacks after Dodge bonus. So a Nimble Dodge build works nicely, and Relentless can allow double moves into enemy backliners and also avoid Nomad sand which is otherwise problematic.

Not going to call those builds above the "best" LW build, but they work decently enough.

Dedicated distraction tank is probably the easiest LW to build, and since LW stacks with shields and Shield Spec it is very easy to achieve great defense scores. Also makes for a good suicide build in the Monolith.

Sword is fine, but you really don't want to be surrounded by 6 enemies ever, unless you are using a dedicated distraction tank. AoE damage dealers are in big trouble if they are surrounded by 6 enemies.

Most factions won't actively gank my LW in my experience. He tends to be engaged by no more than 3 at a time. So AoE can be good, but I wouldn't want to put my dude in a position where he is fighting 6. Ancient Dead do like to gank the LW, which makes them dangerous to try it against without a superstar bro or dedicated tanking build.

Oddly enough I have been having success recruiting Minstrels as well. I agree that Duelist may need to be swapped, I have been going with either Footwork (to escape) or Rotate (to escape using a dog).

How does Relentless help get a double move?

Kind if similar to Adrenaline, though of course not as good at it since you are not trying to be slow.

But it still happens pretty often since turn 1 you go early and wait, most of the enemies move toward you, then on your second pass you can move in, maybe even attack once, and then still go early on turn two.

Without Relentless, the "wait" penalty would make it very difficult to outspeed on turn two.
