Killer on the run event
Just wondering, would he really get hanged if you decide that action, I don't dare to try it since my Killer is high level ?

I always try to fight or scare the po-po away if I have the time spent building the team. I have given him away if early because the law has a pretty good set of geared soldiers and my guys were still scrubs.

Alternately, get jugglers instead. They have the same bonus (with no negative event) and I have seen neither have a positive event.

Also, the thief gets the same negative event ast the killer but at least the thief has a positive event where he can steal a map.

I have no idea what are you talking about but I'll try to be a bit more clear with my question.

When event pops up where Killer almost slits a throat to a random brother and they want to execute him but you as a commander get in and stop it you have three options

1. Flogging the killer on the run
2. Hanging the killer on the run
3. This is your family now. Don't do it again

Hope this is better now.

i do flog him when he tries to do that. As far as i remember he gets a temporary morale debuff...

Juggler's have a +5% to hit the head. Killers have a +10% unless they changed it and I missed the logs.

The Killer on the Run event makes no sense. He doesn't slit anyone's throat. It *looks* like he *tried* but I guess he just cut the guy's throat a little??? It's like that scene at the beginning of the Phantom Menace where the jedi are like "Hey this smells like poison gas! Better hold our breath!" I guess they just got a non-lethal whiff to smell enough that it didn't kill them. Similarly I guess slitting a person's throat takes a lot of time starting with just a little cut and going from there.

As far as the meta goes, just flog him. People are angry for a while. But the +10% to hit the head can be fun.

I got mixed up on the killer events. I forgot the throat slash event and was thinking of the event where a faction/town posse is after them. I know the thief gets that event, but I may be misrembering if the killer gets the event also.

I see no reason to doubt that. BB's world is really grim place to be, which reminds me a lot of Warhammer Dark Fantasy. Surprisingly enough that makes BB's setting quite unique, at least when I look at other medieval fantasy games.

Does anyone else recall some other recent low/dark fantasy games, other than "Dark Souls", "Darkest Dungeon" and "Mordheim: City of the Damned"?

True, first time I picked a third option thinking he will change his thoughts and become a better man.

Found him dead next morning and the two brothers responsible for it were disgruntleded.

It's not like i have ever tried to slit someones throat but i would say it is fairly easy as soon as you got the opportunity - a sleeping one for example.

Death just takes a while as you have to bleed out

A later killer on the run event (I think it was, since the Killer on the Run was talking) has you come across a guy buried with a greatsword. I was able to take the greatsword without much bother. Not sure if there is any other variant of this event.

Pretty sure this is a generic non-specific KoTR event as I've had it mself a couple of times without a killer in the party.

It's the one where you come across a funeral or something similar and the old man says you'll make better use of the sword than the previous owner, yes?

I would impale him, after chopping of his thumps.

Killer on run and thief events are the same, right? I had the thief event where a Noble House ordered me to hand over a thief brother. I said we're the Teutonic Order and the soldiers feared us and so I had no fight, didn't anger the Nobles and I didn't lose my guy. If your reputation is high enough, you'll be ok.

I chose not to fight because I was doing a mission with the same House as the one that wanted the thief. It was a patrol mission with 54 heads x 70 coins per head.
