DLCs never on sale?
Hey I've been just wondering and according to my knowledge, DLCs haven't been yet even once on sale. Are they never gonna be on sale? I find it weird because most of the DLCs of other games I know will always go on sale from time to time, but Battle Brother's haven't.

During the Winter sale, I'm pretty sure they were on sale as part of the "Battle Brothers & All DLC" package, though not individually?

They're already really cheap for the content you get for them. If you like Battle Brothers, buy the DLCs for sure.

yeah, even on sale it's only like $1 off.

it's never going to go to like $5 or something like that, so don't expect that.
Thanks, maybe I will get them then! :D

That's kinda of BS. They cost as much as the base game costs and not having them on sale again on Lunar Year is pretty cheap from the devs.

They would make much more money if they would let go their ego for once and added some -50% for the DLC's as well. Alas, as you sow, so shall you reap.

I think it's you who should let go of his ego. I find your level of entitlement truly appaling.

Nobody is obliged to sell their product at a discount, especially at a huge discount. If BB's devs want to keep a certain price tag its their right to do so and not your place to try and school them how to handle their product in such an authoritative and condescending manner.

Are you even aware of this game's creation context? It's an indie created by just a couple of people, not a big studio that has numerous products already out and several more in the pipeline at all times. Still even the base game can easily compete with major league titles. It's receiving balancing support long after many other titles are pretty much abandoned. Unlike in the case of many modern games DLCs are not something that's been cut out from the base game just to sell it later on. One DLC is completely free. And you are here on your high horse behaving like it's some kind of an insult not to have it all made available at half a price.

I for one am very much happy to spend my money knowing that for once it goes to people who have truly earned it. You are in no way obliged to do the same yourself but for Davkul's sake, get a grip because with that tone you sound like someone who has yet to earn their first buck themselves.

I don't support a decent amount of DLC practices, and I avoid buying DLC off sale.

But honestly I bought the BB expansions recently, and I'm not regretting it.
I think the devs deserve my extra money.

If you need even more reason for the DLC, certain mods (namely a large overhaul called Legends) require some if not all the DLC. If the DLC doesn't bring enough change, Legends sure as hell will.

You can fanboy all day long, it won't change the fact though. The DLC's never were on sale and it wouldn't hurt the studio you fanboy so hard, to earn some more bucks by doing so.

Yea, the DLC are totally worth it full-price. I haven't really regretted buying any of them because they each add a new take to the game.

These devs are worthy every Euro. We must support such devs in these dark times.

I would think (hope, maybe) that they've run the benefit analysis of putting their product on sale. A 50% discount would have to generate twice as many sales to create an equal rate of revenue (give or take the incremental amount that Steam takes). Maybe their metrics indicate that current sales are so robust that a doubling would not be likely under such a scenario.

Sales are nice for us. But in fairness, the devs are trying to run a business.

I bought the Beasts and Exploration DLC at full price hoping I would get many more hours of enjoyment, because really this game, at least on paper, should be checking all the right boxes for me. It just hasn't panned out that way though. I'm willing to shelve out more money to try again but not at full price, you know? It's nothing personal, folks. If a sale never comes, that's really okay too. :cozybethesda:
I don't blame you for anything but tbh I love Warriors of the North way more than B&E.

I find myself often using more content from WotN than B&E, tho the game is alot better and moddable if you have both.

Definitely if it's ever on sale, or you just have 10 bucks and nothing for it, check out WotN. I don't regret it, but I'm sure I would if I only had B&E. They just happen to complement eachother nicely, not unlike CK2 expansions imo.

There's only two DLCs you need and theyre both ten bucks a pop. The Supporter Edition DLCs are just that, support for the studio. So hardly the same price as the base game.
