Although obviously not strictly true 100% of the time, it's easy to see how people would always view basic human named weapons as being "less good" and therefore less interesting if named versions of beefier racial weapons existed.
TLDR ya that'd wreck.
Anyways what they should do is make the baseline named throwing weapons slightly better than the non-famed normal human throwing weapons, like they did with named goblin bows having their +10% arpen and goblin nameds in general costing less fatigue base than goblin commons.
I guess they could add it as a random drop, and just not create Overseer champions. That would be fine.
As for Heavy Javelins. They are already crazy strong. So a famed version would just be nuts. It isn't uncommon to get famed regular Javelins/Axes that are worse than the regular Barb versions already.
The Spiked Impaler is easily the best Crossbow in the game, makes holding the flanks in all three Crisis' much easier. A better version would be totally amazing.
The same would go for named Barbarian axes/javelins - they are already the best damage dealing weapons in the game, what else would they need?
The 5 accuracy is nothing for a solid crossbow man. The Impaler can be used to prevent almost all the 2H weapons wielders in the game (hats off to Orc Warriors and Warlords) from attacking your flanks via either preventative or spoiler knockbacks. They can also save a breached spearwall, or a broken line.
It is one of the few crowd control weapons in the game, and it can be given to a ranged specialist leaving your real killers and tanks free.
Deluded Noob? I have been playing this game since early access. I find the Impaler to be a fantastic weapon, but apparently you don't. It works great for me as I explained, feel free to ignore my strategy.
BB's lets folks play all different ways, there is no required meta.
