Use of Morningstars and Bludgeon type weapons

I'm in my third campaign now (all 3 times War) and came across 100s of Morningstars and Bludgeons but never used them... what is their use ? if they have any ?

I know IRL they were used against armoured opponents but how about ingame ?

maces (like moring stars) are decent against armoured targets, but not as good as hammers.
They also have a stun skill, to....stun targets.
They are, in my opinion, one of the best all-round-choices ingame.

Not sure I follow the question, but 1h maces are amazing weapons. Their stun effect is OP for control and mace duelists are often considered the strongest duelist type.

I often put maces on my fatigue-heavy guys for key stuns.
