Dealing with a hexe?

Is there a way to deal with hexe fight without getting your guys killed? I had one recently and I didn't realize it cast hex on one of my archers and when I sniped it with my other archer, the hexed archer got taken out. Any suggestions?

Every monster is easy to fight,tho i dont have the game in this account but i like using this one cuz it's less ... darker we can say,i have over 400H in this game and im smoking it,anyway so first rule you need to know them,what they can do,they can charm one of ur man and add him to thier side it has range like bow,If u can take her out with an archer in the first couple of round it would be easier but i highly suggest you take weapon with low armor penetration like sword and no two handed weapon cuz hexe will always try to charm someone without shield(easier to hit),dont bring dogs they can kill your brother if the hexe used hexe on them cuz the dog will attack her and deal lot of damage to ur brother since it ignore armor they can also one shot ur brother,You need low armor penetration weapon for the simple fact that when you brother fight each other they wont be able to kill someone also if a hexen use hexe on one brother avoid hitting her,this is why dogs are bad it's because you dont have control over them,if a hexe is alone i suggest going with daggers,and kite shield im not sure but if they are affected with Vision i highly suggest u taking a fight in the night.

TL;DR
Take low tier weapon with high tier armor,dont take two handed and dont take dogs,fight them at night,dont hit them when someone is hexed,take low tier mace try to stune your brother.

I see. That's almost exactly how the fight went for me. She tried and failed to control my shield wall line but she took over my billhook the next turn after. I guess I panicked and went to kill her asap.

if you stay at a distance they dont use hex i think 6 tiles? so you can snipe the hexen from range without harming your dudes.... or stun them and then kill them

no i tried it it's 7,not sure tho,but i found that they wont attack only if u have a high ground and u are far enough from them ,but if u arnt they will still try to come to you and hexe you

Have a few macemen in the fight, even keeping a bludgeon or simple club as a sidearm. You could use them to stun your own men when they're charmed. Then if the Hexe starts spamming hex when you get close, club her for a turn and the effect will wear off.

By the time you fight multiple hexen at a time you need higher resolve and a bannerman, but maces still help.

Shield bash is quite useful for getting your charmed troops out of melee contact. You can then run about the place and kit the charmed soul until the effect wears off and then slot the Hexe. Bear in mind that you shoiuld surround or at least have enough high damage bros in reach of the hexe before kiting any charmed bros. The idea is to kill the witch before the hex effect can come off cooldown. From my experience the hexe usually attempts the hex every three turns os that might be the cooldown value.
