But it's not worth it if it gets you into dangerously low fatigue territory, where you will not be able to do your basic functions like rotating or shield walling or spear walling
And if you have a guy who needs his fatigue to translate it into lots of damage, then you usually don't want him to wear it, unless he has more fatigue than you can quickly use up
As for fatigue levels: 60 seems very low to me. Might be ok if you pick the "recover" perk on all your brothers. General I would tend to use 80 as the minimum on any brother who is supposed to serve as a damage dealer. Lower might be acceptable on a pure tank, but I rarely use those. The best defense is the ability to reduce enemy numbers quickly and for that one needs greatswords and 2h-hammers.
Which is the most important of all. Surely I'm not the only one using the editor to change the look of my helms to decayed ones (because they're easily the coolest in the game)?
That thing must be loaded with so much bacteria that you'd probably die of tetatus just by sniffing it. And I want my bros to be marching about the place inhaling that junk?
Not happening.
Guessing you don't eat the strange meat either then, lol.
Strange meat is at least easier to stomach (pun intended). Just cook that over a fire until well done and you can at least be reasonably sure that you're not going to die of tularemic fever or food poisoning. But you can't really sterilize a massive closed-face helm, can you? At least not without an autoclave.
