Just found an item from inspecting a shipwreck stuck on a tree, item is worth 3000 gold and generates 15 gold daily. Cool stuff!

hmmm I think you would actually be better off selling it. If it only generates 15 gold a day and the average campaign lasts like between 100- 150 days, then even at most you won't recoup the possible gains from selling/killing the golden goose.

The Fable goes that it was more wise to keep the goose over a long period of time, but the average lifetime of the game however lasts long before that.

I mean, if there was only 1 man then the go lden goose would set the guy for life in terms of food/lodging needs if they lived simply in the economy of this game.

I was in a trade city with the bandit event which allowed me to sell the goose for 4.2k, just gonna save it for now until I find a good event in a trade city im well reputed in, but ye I'd say the benefits of selling it instantly are quite high indeed!
