The game doesn't seem to be completely erasing itself from memory or something like that. Strange thing is, it doesn't happen every time.
Quiting out of the game and getting back it always works.
Copying and pasting used to screw up seeds under the old seed system too... it puts in extra characters
type seeds manually
Slice, that seems likely.
I know if I ever input a seed into any game, just as a precaution (like in A.I. War), I would exit the game completely (though often main menu is enough after exiting current campaign), and then input the seed.
It is an old habit from early DOS years of pc gaming. Games don't always wipe old data or initialize right. In part, some seeds are built up from various things -- and if the game clock or the mouse position or page is the same, you increase likelihood of it remembering similar state from last game, just saying.
I'd also say, that in general, BB devs tend to miss a few things in the first day or so of a new major patch, so likely with the DLC as well. It should all settle down once fixed in the new few days to a week, as long as reports get in.
I'd also wonder how old seeds in versions without DLC would work the same in the new DLC expanded version of game. I would think there should be issues. Direwolf and other creature dens/hideouts should perhaps change. There might be more options, so more seeds, dunno.
So, I'd take every precaution to exit and restart to verify any reports of problems, good idea.
