Should you start a new game with the new DLC?

Are there any benefits of starting a new game with the new DLC or should we just use our existing game save?

Taxidermists wont spawn on old seeds, you'll also miss out on the 25% bigger map, probably more but that's all I recall.

Also noticed that the map seeds themselves are done different.

It used to be 8 digits, and hexadecimal for the map seed.

Now it is 10 digit and all letters/numbers.

You can continue your current campaign with the DLC, but you won’t have access to all of the new content until you start a new campaign. Starting a new campaign is very much recommended.
