Crossbow Reload
I think it needs a bit of a rework, like it takes 80% of your current max or something. I know that's strange, but it's annoying when someone gets poisoned and they literally can't even reload their crossbow.

It takes 7 AP to relload a crossbow so if you get poisoned you can´t reload for one turn when you are stuck at 6 AP. The next turn you will have 7 and can reload but can´t fire in the same turn.

Reloading a crossbow without a lever mechanism is pretty hard so I can understand someone sick or poisoned simply can´t manage it. Especially the heavier variants.

I'm talking about for the sake of the game being a game not realistic, but really a cranked crossbow is not that hard to reload, or a normal one so long as it has a proper foot hook.

well, high fatigue reload exist to also balance the game. Crossbow have higher damage and armor penetration than bows, so devs are forced to balance it with -1 distance and reload,
personaly i fine with reload but that -1 range making crossbows lose value and people rarely use them which is sad

They could make it so Crossbow had the same distance. Bow mastery still get you +1 range. The thing is that enemy Crossbows also would have longer range. So for the players perspective I think we are better off how it is now.

You only get poisoned by goblins. It's just something to note and plan for.

Have you ever tried to reload a crossbow. not a modern one but a real, or accurate recreation, medieval crossbow? The thing is hard as ♥♥♥♥ to reload.

And its for balance reasons, the crossbow is insanely OP if put into the hands of a properly built brother.

If you're reloading a siege crossbow without a crank it would be hard... (Ok, pretty much literally impossible.)

With mastery, the total fatigue cost of firing and reloading a crossbow is 19, and you then recover 15 before the next turn. So, a mere 40 fatigue is needed to fire/reload for 10 successive rounds.

I was speaking of AP, not fatigue (though I didn't specify that true.)
