4th Crisis: The Wild Invasion: Barbarians + witches/beasts
Greenskin crisis is Orc+Goblins. Undead crisis is ancients deads + undeads. Noble crisis is... well...

But a "barbarian + witches" crisis seem legit to me. Theses pesky witches, tired of nobles just hiring mercenaries to kill and burn innocents womens, decide to make a contract with barbarians kings: They will help the barbarians to invade the civilized land, and force it to respect witches!

Barbarians are already used to field beast (armored unholds) in battle anyway. And live in the wild with the witches from a long time. (barbarians kings probably don't like very much witches, but commons barbarians certainly often ask witches for favor, know and respect them)

Would be tricky to balance, though.

But fun.

Losing is alway fun.

Right, "hide in map corner" crisis.

Because I'm sure as hell not fighting Hexen + Chosen.
It's more or less same problem as with Schrats - need to bring heavy dps against Chosen but can't bring it due to Hexen. Nevermind that Chosen are op enough on their own.

i bet the next dlc will bring us more crisis options

I agree about Hexes beiing a bit OP associated with heavy threaths. I think we lacks some "knock-out arrows" like spiked empaler but shooting round sticks, think like a flashball. Would be efficient again witches, I guess.

This is a neat idea. A sort of "Pagan Invasion" crisis where the foreign armies of the north and worshipers of old gods come together to try and destroy the civilized world and bring it back to a more primal state.

It could involve a huge increase in roaming beast mobs while the main invasion comes down from the north. The hexen work their magic behind the scenes and coordinate packs of dire wolves and schrats while the northmen come down with their tamed unholds and warhounds.

Could even have special events where a hexen coven takes control of a town in a heavily forested location and the company needs to go and root them out. The barbarians would similarly conquer towns they attack in force, turning them into mob spawning areas that need to be freed from their rule.

Rather than destroying towns this crisis would convert them, forcing the player to reclaim them for the civilized folk and free the citizens that were taken as thralls. Maybe towns they are retaken have an event for a while after where you can recruit wild men with far greater frequency for some time.

Something like that, yeah.

About hexes and barbarian balance: Hexes could be somewhat rares among "ordinary" invasions packs: Only paired with barbarian kings, for example.

A "basic" Wild invasion pack would be a mix of barbarians and beasts. Like 9 raiders and 12 Webnechs.

A "boss pack" kill-the-warlord contract type will be like : 1 barbarian King, 1 Hexe, 1 schrat, 6 chosens, 2 armored unholds + beastmaster, 12 raiders + 2 drumers. Tricky but maybe doable.

Hexes could be as rare as barbarian kings in the "end-crisis invasion" scenario.

Is that really a problem?

I suggested something like this a day or two ago - but please, no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Hexen...

people who only bought one of them would be mad about it, doubt devs want game to plummet down into mixed again for such silly reason.
