Also picking ideal fighting locations is key. At level 5 you can take on 4 - 6 raiders if you choose where you make your stand wisely.
new game after new game.
you advice on taking on targets sounds like Sound Advice thanks!
naa don't want to watch other rather rave about it and take advice from here. Thanks.
Start by purchasing xp boost for 5 battles, sell your meat if there are cheaper options (grain), buy tools. Only agree to caravan escorts or terrified villagers contracts, if there are none, go north try to stick to the forests.
The key to surviving early lone wolf is managing enemy numbers until you get to lvl 6 at least. To do that there are following options
1) Caravan guards are meat shields/distraction, enemy will prefer them allowing you to kill off most of the thugs
2) Terrorized villagers usually are webknechts/narcheizers/direwolfs - all are usually doable unless you are very unlucky. Try to find elevation. For nachs WAIT until they surround you, even if it means taking a few hits. Then swing - you can kill nachs with 1 hit usually. Their AI will make them move onto corpse giving you atakcs of opportunity, usually resulting in a very easy encounter. Elevation really matter. If you cant find elevation retreat and try again
3) Pacifying graveyards is 30% to get narcheizers, go for it. If its thugs or zombies - run/cancel
4) Forests is your friend. It is full of places where no more than 1 or 2 enemies can engage you at once, thus you can easily kill 6 thugs in a forest.
5) North is amazing - thralls are easier than thugs bc of their weak armor and also there are plenty of forest in the north. Try to go there
6) DO NOT accept contracts to "rebuild watchtower", "drive off brigands" , "follow tracks" etc. anything above 4 thugs is really hard to do unless you're really lucky. by the way 4 raiders is doable in the forest but can be luck dependant.
You will earn aprox 600-800 exp per fight allowing you to level up quickly. when your armor is damaged go for delivery quests or just camp (faster repair). Once you hit level 6 you can do smaller groups of thugs if you get elevation. Once you get level 7 (berserk) thugs/thralls become fodder and exp will overflow.
Doing this route you will achieve lvl 11 within 20 days, from there on I prefer to accumulate lots of gold and hire premium ppl, early swordmasters are amazing btw, they eat thugs for breakfast. I usually get group of 6 ppl by day 40 , 10-12 ppl by day 70.
This is for EELI
PS: LW perk is amazing power boost at lvl 6 , but it useless once you start hiring, so I recomend slower but better approach by dumping LW perk and taking underdog on lvl 6 instead.
Yea Lone Wolf is tough starting out not used it.
four raiders? My first fights seven raiders. that's just to get some silly Idol back.
