If anybody escapes you get half pay.
For each person who escapes there is a 15% chance of contract failure.
Killing every single unit in caravan while also fighting off undead attackers, and especially considering that some of them will get scared of undead and flee long before battle is close to finishing... Is obviously impossible.
On top of that you have battles where the highly trained, heavily armoured AI will either charge a line of waiting pikemen or just skulk at the back and do nothing the entire fight, and these battles normally require you to fight a battle on your own beforehand which, if you survive, you only have a day to recover from before the main battle.
On top of that you can have factions which refuse to defend their towns and lose them very quickly, limiting your jobs, marketplaces and other buildings to buy/sell from - all because the AI can't defend a few simple locations because its armies are busy chasing 4 peasants across the countryside.
There are more reasons as to why its the worst event, but I think I may wear my keyboard out trying to list them off. Like a lot of BB, its a nice idea but horribly done.
