So, what's the downside to Trading Caravan?
Amazing deals! 10% cheaper goods + 10% better sales- that's a healthy 20% total bonus.

Slower Renown gain? So the game scales in difficulty slower, while I'm trotting around towns buying up their good deals?

I just visited 5 towns, did what quests they offered, then bought all their amber, salt, geodes, and wine. After I had a good chunk of my inventory full, I went to a biggest city and sold it all for an 8k gold dump on like day 30. That's nice!

I would say that its a rather dull campaign to start on imo and i think its too heavily dependable on your seed too succeed long term, yours happen to be a great one ^^. I do agreed thats those are little downside to what you can achieve with this bonus ^^

Slower renown gain is in theory an economic penalty, but in reality it doesn't matter at all because you are swimming in money from selling things. Doesn't at all depend on a good trading seed. Better prices on everything is always going to be strong.

Instead the renown penalty threatens you with boredom, because it takes like 60 days to unlock Noble contracts.

The second easiest origin. Very strong.

Avoid... takes forever to rank up. Actually forever!! Its not actually easy at all sell prices dont matter when your contracts pay way less. Takes forever to get noble quests. So no youre not really swimming in money at all your just stuck in slow motion and get no legendary camps either compared to other starts.

The game doesn't really scale in difficulty slower due to slower renown growth. You just get less money for contracts.

Overall, it's basically just like knocking economic difficulty down a couple ranks. Not really the most interesting origin, but a lot of Expert/Expert players like it because it allowed them to play FilthyRobot easy settings while still claiming to play Expert ;)

whats the easiest in your opinion ?
I suppose Peasant Militia is the easiest.

I'm not sure why you'd want so much to unlock noble contracts. At some point in the game, you are just camp busting, looking for named items and selling the loot, which is much more profitable than contracts

Take it easy Jimbo. There is a specific rule against necroing old threads.
A rule doesn't preclude something being ridiculous.

It's not that bad. 40 days is very achievable
