Goblin weapons worth keeping?
Hi all, had my first real run-in with goblins while escorting a caravan. My hunting bow party managed to kill 3 of the goblin archers before they had time to make an effect on the battlefield.
The rest of the goblin band charged my frontline and stopped just outside my spear wall with a frontline armed with falchions and other goblin weapons. the backline consisted of 2 more archers and another goblin with a 2 tile goblin jagged pike.
I netted the archers and pike goblin and my band tore the others to bits at close quarters.
The 2 remaining goblin archers managed to break out of they're nets and make a run for it.
Not even my dogs could catch them lol.
But to the point now, I gained some Goblin cruel falchion, Goblin notched blade ( I like this one as it can puncture also) Goblin jagged pike and some goblin Boondock Bows as loot.
They all look decent gear are they worth using?
Nothing special about the boondock bows I don't think so would I be better to sell them?

I like to use goblin falchions for my ranged brothers as side weapon, If they get engaged into melee for some reason and need to defend themself.

Jagged pike is nice. Only 5ap to attack (most polearms are 6ap) so you can move 2 tiles and still attack. Also, it causes bleed.

I usually give a couple guys a notched blade in place of their dagger just because they look cool.

The rest I usually sell.

They look just the job for that. Low max fatigue is great :)

Cruel falchion does good hp damage for its low fatigue cost. So I give it to new guys so they can wear heavier armor, and finish off enemies that the veterans destroy the armor of. Jagged pike is good to keep because of the low ap and fatigue costs. Their bows and daggers are nothing special, but compare to what you have. I usually sell and repair those.

Keep the jagged pikes, best backup melee weapon for archers, also good for slaying lindwurms.

Another good thing about jagged pike that hasn't been mentioned yet is that archers (or anyone else for that matter) can switch to it and attack in the same turn without having to take quick hands perk.

There sure is. Jagged pike is pretty good for reason already said. Spiked Impaler is also my prefered Crossbow for the knockback ability.

Thats very interesting, about the no quick hands needed for who is using it :)

The ePeen has been fired, and it smells like nerd piss.

Keep jagged pikes for reasons mentioned, especially early game. I give them to lower level recruits on back line along with crossbows, who are trying to catch up to higher level bros. Bleeding is a great addition as well as the low fatigue cost so they can hit more times in more turns, and can even move and hit sometimes, can be a battle winner. Bleeding may stack even (can't remember?). I use them on Orc Warriors. I love them.

Was just about to say their armour damage is no good so not really... but that is a great idea. Nice one.

If you arent above cheating or hex-editing just a tad, you can give a few extra AP points to your favourite brother inspired by Flash, and have him shank twice or thrice a turn with the Goblin Jagged Pike B)
