Good names for mercenaries
Does anybody have any favorite names that they use for different types of mercenaries? For example I tend to name a good tank Scaeva, after the legendary Roman guy who was hard to kill. Leonidas of course. I use Crixus and Sparticus in most games (gladiators, one of the slavic wars, any melee oriented). I tend to name an archer Turok after the game character. Letho, Iorveth, or Geralt after the witcher characters. And then of course I go to the barber to make them look like the character. I've used all of these names too much, so looking for new ones.

I put my friends' name (after minor change to better fit middle-age style on them). Pretty fun espercially if you're in a chat group with them. You can narrate it to them like so.

Oh no, Alex(ander The Strong) got eaten by a Nach. Rescue him, Leo(nel from East Coast) and Tyler(ion The Dog Master). And then they all die after other Nachs eat each other corpse to get stronger when everyone is busying rescuing a friend.

I generally use the first 2 to 3 letters of their profession / background
to start the name creation, then combine it with 1 to 3 letters of each
of the physical perks they come with (if any).

So, a dext'rous brawler becomes Brady or Brad, a tough sellsword Seto etc. :brotherskull:

I try to be bit more creative with the titles though,
tending to use it as class descriptions, albeit different conventions almost every new run.

I base mine on the BridgeBurners from the Malazan book of the Fallen.

I keep the names as they are, with the exception of the starting Bros wich I sometimes take from my favourite books or movies.

Oh yeah I forgot that one. Good name for a wildman. Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentation of the women.
