Does this game have any interactive conversations? or something similar?
M&B sort of had interactive conversations, just wondering if this does too since it was influence by it and could lend a little bit of story and flavor in the mix.

Well, you have random events that give negative and posive traits.
Sometimes they come in choices.

For example:
While escorting a caravan, you may get a choice to liberate an enslaved noble scion or spit on his face while being a good errand boy. Needless to say, being a regenade pays.

There is only contract negotiations and events but they are not very interactive you pick one choise and get some results from it. Contract negotion you try to raise price unil other side get pissed and refuse to deal with you or gives more money etc...

Events you get partly depend what traits and backround your mercs have.

But this is not on RPG if you are asking that.

Ok, yeah didnt expect it to be an rpg, but M&B had a very basic conversation system or at least making choices occassionally when talking to a member of your group or a leader etc.

The events that happen in battle brothers do involve decision making in some cases.
Here are some examples of such events:
In the course of one contract that takes place during the war between the noble houses (one of the three available crises), one can get the offer to betray one's contract giver.

After I accepted.

As a consequence of my decision the contract is cancelled and my ex-employer, House Eberlin, is now hostile towards me.

A training event, where one can decide whether one's men shall train at all and how they shall be trained (which of the three available attributes is supposed to be increased).

That event triggers when you have to hire a bunch of new recruits and you still have one of your 3 companions alive. I have had the event trigger twice, both times after several people died and I replaced with level 1's.

I have only one companion alive and it still triggers. Also mercs with retired soldier or swordmaster backround might trigger training event.
