duelist perk+shield

Hi guys,

does this combination work? Someone has tested it? i know it says:" offhand free ", and excluded 2h weapons, but didnt say anything about shield.

Your offhand isnt free if you have a shield in it.

Some players field heavy duelists with battleforged. They use kite shields as a protection against archers and remove it via quick hands when engaging at melee

Not actualy if you have sum of 600+ armour points & 100-125 HP you not care much about ranged. Your archers shoot crossbows, bows don`t pass through resistance most likely. And you not need shields becouse you use duelists in center there they face 2 at max, kills 1 in a turn most likely or sometimes bouth, with adrenalin bouth before they act.
Flangs covered with 2h, who have melee def. and weapon reach, wich allows them keep melee def quite high.
