Only 4 harbors, but spread out. (from top left to bottom). Two cities far apart, one big harbor top left, and another farming one well inland.
Shield has very high starting attack skill.
1. Shield: 67/42 melee/bow (dextrous / loyal), 9/7 base def
2. Axe: short sighted, 62 melee, 2/3 base def
3. bow: death wish 49 bow / 55 melee, 3/4 base def

Spear bro: Optimist, Bloodthirsty
Axe Bro: Athletic, Iron Lungs
Crossbow Bro: Eagle Eyes
Map only has southern harbors but it is snowy north, forested middle and desert south.
Er. Wrong forum.
Been playing around with seeds tonight. Nothing interesting so far, but this addition is fantastic.
Overhype worshipping the Fallen One confirmed.
Edit to save virtual trees:
They really need to realize #StartingBrosMatter
Edit edit: As an aside, you can have at least two traits on your brothers. I just got a seed with two traits each on every starting brother (unfortunately most of them crappy ones XD), so there's that to consider for the "ultimate" seed hunting :)
OK, so I've spent way more time putting in goofy hexadecimal words than I care to admit, but this map is actually pretty good. It has 6 ports with a nice layout, roads connecting nearly everything, a good variety of towns, likeable factions, etc. The only downside is the massive citadel that has both an ore smelter and blast furnace isn't directly connected to that faction's surface iron vein. The founding BBs aren't as good as some of the others I've found, but they all have positive traits.
BBs:
Shield - Iron Lungs
2H - Iron Lungs, Quick
Bow - Fearless
Can anyone, anyone, please tell me a map seed where all three starting brothers begin with the Tiny trait? I've been needing that campaign for a very long time. I'd settle for two starting tiny brothers but all 3 would be ideal. I'm going to try seed dwarf right now (and whatever abbreviation I can get out of dwarf mode).
I think you have to start a new game after v1.0.0.4 in order to see the game's map seed. Previous saves don't have the map seed where it should be in the menu. It might be possible with a hex editor, but that's more trouble than it's worth with people sharing more and more good seeds.
I've only ever seen one of the three BBs have the Tiny trait and at this point in time, I've rolled literally hundreds of games. I've done almost nothing but roll up new games for at least 20 hours or so since release alone... I'm not saying it's not possible, but if it is, it's extremely rare.
Spearman gets Dextrous, Axeman gets Optimist and Dumb, Crossbowman gets Pessimist. The map looks pretty reasonable 'though. It's mostly land with the water mainly around the edges.
Map seed dafde (dwarfmode) ... well this is weird. In the tutorial fight the axeman has a spear and shield so Hoggart the weasel runs away leaving two spearmen to die.
Setting that aside, dafde has the Speaman getting nothing, the Axeman getting Dumb and the Crossbowman getting brave. Map looks okay at a cursory glance.
I'm going to need help finding the real dwarf mode map.
Connectivity between top and bottom via harbor, almost no mountains, lots of open plains, a good collection of cities in the south for quick questing, and a northern outpost for dat dere GoT atmosphere! :D
Love it!
Spearman - loyal
Axeman - deathwish and brute
Crossbowman - tough
Map has 12 settlements all bunched close together in the south and a village with harbor in the north for easy access to the rest of the map. Great for trading and quick questing.
Only the map layout and starting BBs are linked to the seed. City's events/wares/hires are random.
