Camera Rotation
Title says it all; being able to rotate the camera in battle would be great. I heard on the forums that it used to be in-game so just wondering if there's a chance it might come back?

Yep it would be nice if they would add the function back. It's difficult to see what is happening when fight in mountain

I don't remember this feature ever being in the game and I'm one of the customers who got in on early access pretty early on. I do seem to recall some mention of it but never needed it/never found it so I can't remember if it was actually there or not. Rotating a 2d image would feel odd for me if the soldiesr did not rotate as well (and if they did rotate then it would feel like I'd barely changed camera angle).

It was a feature during battle in the demo version of the game (not sure if the regular game ever had it). It essentially let you "flip" the battle map so you'd be on the north side looking down rather than the usual south side looking up. The benefit was it let you see things from the back sides of tree/bush filled terrain or backs of hillsides.

I similarly asked this question in a thread I started a month or 2 ago and was told that that feature was possible back then but that the engine had been changed since then and that the feature could not be implemented in the new engine and would thus not be coming back.

I hope the feature will return in some future version or at very least "x-raying" the trees and such were made easier. It's really hard to read forest maps especially since some of the objects that block los and movement are almost invisible.

I specifically recall this feature. It was extremely useful for battles with uneven terrain. High/low ground and sudden cliff edges that were concealed by the camera.
Now you have to manually adjust height levels which is inconvenient.

No idea why it was ever removed.

I think that there is an option for auto adjust of height, not sure tho.

There's an option to make the trees semi-transparent. A system like what was in Final Fantasy Tactics would be pretty cool. I'm not gonna complain if they don't implement it but it would be a nice feature.

Maybe a DLC... I just love this game haha, they could release a DLC with just camera rotation and I would get it to just support them.
