A question about the sale price of monster loot.

So the game shows the base price for every item, which is a nice feature, and saves time from having to check the wiki. However, while I have consistently been able to sell certain items for just about their base price or slightly higher (the signet ring, for example) once a town liked me well enough, I never saw more than 38 crowns on offer for a dire wolf leather, for example.

I know they can be crafted into armor, so I keep some for that reason, but since dire wolfs can be quite reliably hunted with the right tactics/equipment, I was thinking of using that to make some extra money. So, was anyone ever able to sell a dire wolf leather for 200 crowns? I ask the same for other monster loot, like the fangs because I've been hoarding them for a while and would like to know if there's a point to it. If they can be sold for better value, where would that be? Is there any town structure (like an alchemist that can use the fangs or something like that) that would make for a better price? The description on the fangs makes it sound like there is, but so far I never saw more than 30 ish crowns for them as well.

If im not mistaken fangs trigger an event with some class, but i never sell the wolf or fang items for their real value.
