If I remember well, the game was patched to prevent bloated nazhzehrers from fleeing with your devoured mercs.
It would be nice if we get some loot from the bellies of these beasts. Like money, or non digested armor.
This was the hardest fight I've ever had; 25 orc warriors would have been easier.
Some balances could be a heal over time plus a size increase, or an instant heal, but not both size and insta-heal, along with reduced mobility with each incresed size. Make them even easier to hit when they get bigger, but harder to pull or push around because they really look like they become quite huge.
I dunno, I know this game's supposed to be hard, but sometimes it seems over the top, expecially with the power creep, or "scaling" that goes on mid-game. I can never find fair fights anymore, I'm always outnumberd and/or outgunned.
I should be able to field troops equal to the maximum number of enemies I can face in any given fight. That would take some of the bite out of these scenarios where you're supposed to fight 15 or 20 enemies.
As for fighting them, keep in mind that they can't heal injuries and can't swallow non-player units (including dogs). Also need to start a round next to someone to do so. So you can drop a dog and use rotation, shield bash/repel/goblin crossbow, etc. Also mace stun and 2H hammer stagger are also useful.
Its costs 6 or 7 AP for them to Feast as well. So tactically I assume that multiple people will get swallowed and try to delay that/horribly injure the lvl 3's/make sure they swallow those I can do without for a turn or 2.
I'm starting to hear more and more uses for taunt - like keeping those darn vampires in one place long enough to actually HIT them a few times.
Perhaps I just need to change my tactics a bit more.
