I prefere Bandit, orcs, goblins over them...
I think its a mixture of their defensive behavior, not so rewarding loot and lack of feedback (crushing living things, breaking morale... Stuff like that)
Skeletons? the most boring enemy type/
First of all, having to change the load-out on every one of my brothers gets tiresome fast, which is why I repeatedly suggested to improve load-out management with some additional quality of life.
And yes, it's every one of them:
-Trade bows for throwing axes and quivers for more throwing axes. Or in my case, replace archers with dedicated polearm and 2h mercs entirely.
-Swap kite shield for heater shields.
-You might even consider swapping out spears because they're usually only funny for one turn.
-Bring the sergeant and his banner up just in case there are geists or priests.
It's a long check list and it gets annoying if you face them frequently but not exclusively.
Secondly, I have only found out about 2 or 3 strategies that work againt them and my party is only suited for 1 of those. So it's the exact same fight every time...
And finally they just don't tend to have any interesting loot on them. Some of those armors and weapons are worth a lot but none of it is really viable to use, except the warscythe and I still haven't seen one of these.
I prefer fighting orcs or people or ghouls. Zombies are okay as well.
However, i am more annoyed by the generic camps that spawn during their invasion: The whole place is littered with crypts that give no sight on the garrison for no reason and usualy contain 25 zombies, 3 necromancer, 2 fallen heros and 10+ geists. These fights require some adaption, time and are prone to bad luck but don't yield any reward. Zombies, geist and necromancers drop nothing or basically nothing, usualy because you destroy the gear they wear, and the "treasures" are always just some gold and one of those signet rings. Lesser versions of this camp found outside the invasion would provide several golden tomes or gems...
Noble wars on the other hand are way more fun, require not so much attention and give better loot. Besides, nothing beats striking down 3 guys in one swing and watch the morale go down the toilett.
+1
Undead are also scary in a way because they invalidate a decent number of perks in the talent tree. For that reason, I don't bother with Crippling Strikes, Executioner or Fearsome. Those talents rely on morale or injuries to be effective neither of which apply to the Undead.
