Do you feel events occur frequently enough?
I've played up until day 130, and I feel like events occur too infrequently to really change the pace from enemy killing. It's awesome more general events have been and are being added. Now I just want to start seeing them more often.

However, I realize I might care more about the roleplaying aspect of events than other tactical minded commanders here. What does everyone think about event frequency?

I think you get them fairly common, although waiting for the item events to trigger is a drag!

And I'm sick of the gambling events ;)

They are not quite often and big part of them is just read only, it would be cool if they all come with +1 to some supply and/or mood change on at least one of the mercs.
Currently its just read some wall of text every now and then without any real impact to anything.

Haha - oh the gambling events. I really hope when that triggers, it's not making me get less non-gambling events.

I don't mind the current ratio of read only to choice events personally. I do agree it's nice to some impacts like the examples you gave, which doesn't always happen.

I think there are 17-ish "read only" events -- those were put in when the system was first getting started as they were the easiest to write and implement (these are the "traveler asks to camp with you" events). Events that require player input and carry rewards/pitfalls are obviously better, but at the time I just wanted something "on the page" if that makes any sense.

Many events were designed to proc based on who is in the party (and other triggers), but I'm currently writing/designing a whole bunch that will pop regardless and then can be answered in specific ways if you have certain people in the party. For example, using a Thief to steal a merchant's map, or a Historian to decipher it. 25 of these sort are finished with 16 already in from the latest updates. There will be more to come. :berserker:

Do you think these remaining planned events will make it into the 1.00 release? If not, how long would you guess they will take to be implemented, judging on the past rhythm of the event implementation? Thanks for the info :)

How adding events work?
Can you add some checks that for example:
>"traveler asks to camp with you" can happen only when company is actually camping?
Can you tell us is there some sort of timer between events?

I wonder if there would be possibility to add camping/training events with timers, or events that trigger on evel ups or how many eneies soldier kill.

I wish events were more connected. Depending on your choices maybe getting different consequences or outcomes later. Or maybe some town related events or noble house related events would be nice too. Events seem to be too shallow and meaningless. As for the frequency, I hope we get an option to either increase the frequency or decrease it.

They're not supposed to have a huge impact, and i personally really don't find them shallow at all.

They add a living layer on top of your company and travels, it brings a lot in terms of atmosphere and immersion.

I'd really love a history tab next to the obituary to reference all the events which happened over the course of a playthrough, with a timestamp.
By day 300 looking back at that time when Jost the Eunuch became a brothel legend, and remember how he died 50 days later, would be wonderful. Otherwise everything tends to fade and blend together.

I don't feel that they're shallow. Really cool things happen in some of the events, and they're well-written. In fact, I think the impact not being too huge means more events can happen without affecting the balance. Of course, the bigger the impact, the more memorable the event. It's a fine line.

The purpose of events is (I believe) to both mix up gameplay and add more personality to your Bros. I imagine event frequency was low before because there weren't enough events to stop frequent repeats. Now that there's more events (and more coming), that number could be increased.

I'd also be happy with an "event frequency" slider. It would be a good way of customizing what people want out of BB, similar to the sandbox mode that was added.

+1 for history tab / journal :)

On one capaign, my bros were chatting up the ladies and getting moral boosts. Another campaign, my bros were slapping peasants around and ruining my reputation. It doesn't even seem to be based on bro type. Maybe sellswords are just jerks and like ruining your company reputation.

I knew wildmen and maulers would get punch. I did not know it could be triggered by traits too. Makes sense.

How many days do y'all usually see in between events?

I've been told it's something like 4-6 days, usually after the latest patches. Since it's relatively RNG, it can vary a lot, though.
