Fallen Hero
Does anyone know if the fallen heroes can drop their gear other then shields and weapons? Can you get helmets or armor?

I've dropped their helmets before - they're very sturdy, but heeeeeavy. Not sure about their armour.

Awesome. Thanks.

pretty sure you can get the armor. you cant destroy the stuff you want though.

Yeah you get stuff. helmets, weapons and shields are common because I normally kill the armor.

I've gotten one set of armor.

the weapon is good same quality of stuff as you'd get from the store. save you a couple thousand.

the shield is OK, same as a heater except less HP.

The Helm and armor are more or less the same that you could buy in the store but with a worse HP to fatigue ratio, so...not really recommended to wear.

but they certainly drop. if you don't destroy them in the fight at least.

Now another question...if I decapitate the fallen hero or any other unit does that destroy the chance for the helm? Does the game consider the helm destroyed at that point?

Wish I could 'recruit' a skellybro of my very own for the band...

Or a half-orc character to make good use of the orc weapons would be sweet.

I believe the helm has to be destroyed prior to decapitate succeeds.

best way to get helms is probably to body shot things with cleavers until they bleed out. though doesn't work with undead.

I just kill alot of undead, I get a helm maybe 30% of the time. standard killing

Helms I generally use are the 140 HP helms with -1 vision. seem to be good enough.

If you really want the gear from Fallen Heroes, just surround them with rondel daggers (normal daggers and goblin daggers work too, knives take too long) and puncture them to death.

They have abysmal melee defense and they'll never hit anyone as long as you have shields and made sure to get rid of any necromancers first.

Decapitate can work to get helms. It doesn't always hit the head.

In my Undead ending run that I just finished, all my brothers had their helms for effect. (Minus archers)

My main guy with the standard had the cool one with the banshee or wraith on top.

They were a little on the fatigue side but gave 240 - 250 armor and were free. ;)

Decapitate is actually a really good way to get armor because it does more damage to HP.

Got a helmet from a fallen hero and one of my drunkard brother lost it (as an random event)!

They do that hehe. Did you have him flogged?
Also, you'll get heaps more of those helmets.
Undead crisis, clearing ruins like mad, and finally (via blind luck) got some fallen hero armour. Decayed Coat of Plates.
Its terrible. -42 fatigue and less durability than heavy lamellar. Granted, if I'd gotten it earlier I might have used it, but most of my 2-handers are wearing -yep- heavy lamellar.

Fun fact: fallen heroes can revive from being decapitated. Can't keep a good zombie down.
