892240 armorsmiths or weaponsmiths in almost every settlement
Best Axebro ever. Not just in terms of traits but his stats sum are higher than usual. great spear +shield and archer bros too.
What defines "Epic?"
Some people care about starting brothers, some people care about trade routes, some people care about city access, some people care about the largest keeps having all three weapon/armor resource buildings, some people care about number of harbors, some people like/don't like forests/swamps, some people want lumber towns, etc, etc...
At some point it is in the eye of the beholder.
Well, as I said, it is in the eye of the beholder.

Iron Lungs and Brave on Shield
Iron Lungs and Tough (+10 hp) on archer
Deathwish and high stats on Axedude
3 harbors on different sides of mountain and body of water
Only downside is awkward swamps and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ road system for the north which is pretty much a given from all my experiences

Collectively, your starting bros have 40 extra stat points than standard starting bros.
AxeBro: Tough, Spartan
Crossbro: Tough, Strong
Shieldbro: Tough, Bloodthirsty
All starting Brothers have 'Tough'. So +10 HP across the board. Really tanky guys! Take Colossus on Axebro and Shieldbro and you'll easily be pushing 90-100ish hp with very little effort meaning you can throw your points elsewhere sooner!
CrossBro is REALLY good. +10 Fatigue to go with his +10 HP. Means he'll make a great bowman or hybrid (down to taste) easily since he has a lot of extra stat points to throw around. He's excellent.
I use this seed to test builds, since the extra stat points make that a bit easier.
The map itself is servicable- not the best, not the worst. Best trade route is in the North. Cities being a bit spread out is a definte downside of this map.

6ab39e - 'Lowlands Strip'
Great bros, great map, one stop shop, really really consistant start (as consistant as BB gets ;p)
Axebro - Iron Lungs, Iron Jaw
Crossbro - Iron Lungs, Strong
Shield Bro - Athletic, Bloodthirsty
My current favorite seed. Mostly because of the map!
Crossbro is perfect. Axebro is brutal. Shieldbro is only so-so, but Althetic does make him a good candidtate for an early game flail duelist/mail farmer or a first Bannerman. (Suppose Bloodthirsty would proc with a longaxe). His melee stat progression is to bad for anything else. Otherwise, ignore his traits and make him a tank.
Now to the map: I call it 'Lowlands Strip' because in the house the controls the middle of the map is consoldiated along one long road with the exception of a couple towns. It's like one big strip mall where you can do all your recruiting, buying, selling, etc. Trading and selling is easy. Hunters, gear, armor, weapons, temple, etc?! The strip has got what you need, boss! Gemmenstien, to the north of this strip, sells salt and gems.
The other wonderful thing about this map is that the early game tends to be really consistant:
I usually start by buying Amber in Sundheim, selling that amber in Lanzenfest, buying cheap padded leather armor in Gistchberg, and visiting Horn and Grottenhaven to check for recruits. (I check all these places for cheap gear and good recruits along the way!) I usually get at least one fishermen for a net to toss on Hogart. By day 3 I'm ready to fight Hogart the Weasel with a really well equiped team.
After that I go to the strip and start building renown and questing with the blue banner house/House Hedin.

6d51cd - 'King in the North'
Good starting bros, challenging terrain, two good trading circuits, start with an ideal bannerman.
AxeBro: Iron Lungs
Crossbro: Bright
Shieldbro: Fearless, Ironlungs
Ironlungs is always nice. Stacking Bright with Student on Crossbrow is good times. The real MVP here is Shieldbro, for once! Iron Lungs + Fearless makes him an exceptional bannerman that you can start training right out of the gate.
The map is named after the Stag banner that dominates the North. The northern cities, with the exception of Suhlwatch, form one big trading circuit that includes peat, two sources of copper, furs, and salt.
Sattel has an ironvein, and as such, is prone to having a cheap reinforced flail sometimes. Be sure to check for one. An early flail garantees that early mail from Hogart.
The terrain on this map, however, is very unforgiving! You'll be fighting in swamps and forests a lot. Bandits are EVERYWHERE. Pathfinder is practically mandatory. Early game on this one is always really bumpy, but that's part of the fun.
South has really nice trading route too!..(Amber + Dyes) But who wants to fight for those arrogant Lannisters?
