Does anyone play without Killing Frenzy?
I am thinking about dropping Killing Frenzy on my damage dealers, as I prepare for end-game dungeons and later Ironman games. The reason is that survival is at premium in those settings, and I feel I am missing that one more survival Perk that would really make my characters extremely durable. In contrast, I am not sure if Killing Frenzy gives me enough benefit to forgo that one more survival Perk. On archers, I feel it is wholly unnecessary, as soft targets do not require that extra 25 percent to get kills, and hard targets won't be downed by that extra 25 percent generally anyways. (On such targets, I use archers as Overwhelm bots.) As for 2H melee guys, I also feel the damage is sufficient without Killing Frenzy, especially when I support them with "set-up" strikes.

So anyone play without Killing Frenzy at higher settings? And how did it go?

I would find smth else to drop. If you really feel you need more survivability. I wouldn't touch kf, at least on dmg dealers. 25% boost is quite substantial.

On other guys you can easily skip that perk. But if you're utilizing different builds, and not just dozers like I suggested ;) , I think your dmg dealers gonna need it. As you'd be generally missing dmg potential on lots of guys you should maximize it on dedicated dmgers.

On archers kf works great, I think. It just boosts your chance to get that oneshot. I mostly take it, as I think it's one of the best perks in the game. But definietly not required, you can do without it.

I did try playing without kf. I even had bands where none of my guys took it. It went poorly once I got to big encounters. You just lack dmg to kill stuff quickly. And fatigue builds up faster than it used to, so those combats turn into prolonged engagements. Against enemies that can tire it's not that big of a problem. But against undead it can ruin your day. And it even further limits your dmg potential as you just have to start wasting aps using recovery, or just miss stamina to attack.

But sure, try it. Maybe your experience will be different from mine.

I have yet to get to the true end-game stage, so I still don't know what it's like. But if you say that damage will lag a bit without it on 2Hs, then I believe you. So I will drop Pathfinder instead probably. On archers, I cannot really drop anything else, and against tough enemies they are more Overwhelm bots anyways. And I really want to get the 98 percent Nimble (or was it 92 percent?) I can get by dropping Killing Frenzy in favor of Brawny.
