Empire campaign: Am I making war on other humans?
Just started the Empire campaign, re-unified my home province, can't figure out if I'm supposed to be attacking the other human provinces to bring them under my banner, or coaxing them in with diplomacy.

My gut says with Chaos on the doorstep we shouldn't be squabbling amongst ourselves, but I can't tell if diplomacy is going to get the job done before Evil rings the doorbell.

Yeah i'm in the same boat. Tried the attacking route first. Ended up getting my full province then took on marienburg, that was a mistake. By turn 50 I felt I made a mistake and should of been using diplomacy.

LOL, wondering the exact same thing. Seen vids where the just take over everyone, but it just doesn't feel right.
I personally stayed defensive until Chaos came. The other Elector Counts will eagerly start rushing under your banner.

I am aligned with most of the Empire, nearly all of Bretonnia, and with many Dwarfen Karaks. Together we have driven back the Norscans plenty of times.

The Chaos Warriors have yet to make it to us.
I did a mix of both. I was bringing in the Empire factions with Confederation while conquering the Bretonnians.

Is it in the lore that Dwarves/humans fight each within their race?

Humans infight quite a bit, not while Karl Franz was Emperor though.

Dwarfs don't fight each other. They just write each others name in their Books of Grudges and then debate for a few decades.

While the Dwarfs and the Empire have been close allies since Sigmar.

Send an army north to wipe out the Norsca before turn 100

I just conquerd the other humans. DIPLOMACY? for ♥♥♥♥♥♥ there is not killing in diplomacy...
I had an epic Empire campaign - I restricted my conquest to the western human factions to give myself a few provinces, then I had military alliances with all the other Empire factions, all the dwarf factions, all the Southern Realms factions, and Kislev (that Russian sounding northern realm) and we kicked Chaos's backside, then I declared war on the one remaining Vimpire faction with the rest of the known world backing me up to win the long campaign. I really felt like an Emperor. I think diplomacy is too easy when you get used to how it works.

You sound like those heretical soldiers that scream WAAGGH when I command them to charge.

With Dwarfen civil conflicts and Empire factions fighting the Dwarfs.

I will say no.

That is much sad. Thats like in the dawn of war games the IG fighting Space marines on the SP campaign.
Yeah, one of the most annoying parts of my dwarf campaign was my allied Karaks declaring war on the Empire for no explicable reason. They can't even conquer their territories. I think it's pretty BS, like the AI factions are REQUIRED to be at war with someone.
