Worst Gilded Hero?

Probably Betty Clicker, she has no % buffs for herself so her dmg is ♥♥♥♥ anyways. Which makes the 50% bonus ♥♥♥♥ aswell :D

Yeah I don't think I've noticed worse than her, but what would you say, am I close second?

What would the BEST be, the furthest down the list you can get?... or would it be Frostleaf or Tree Beast for their efficiency within the meta?

Im probably wrong but i feel the best would probably be someone like The Masked Samurai.

i think ive read that from stage 500 to 2500 Masked Samurai is indeed the best one, then it shifts to one after the Dread Knight. For the first 500 it should be treebeast because hes the cheapest to get to lvl 1000 (even though without him gilded it does nearly nothing , he still only did like 5% of my total dmg).

Usual pattern for Gilds goes as follows.

When you generally have to Ascend before reaching zone 250, leave the Gilds where they randomly landed.

Once you are passing 250 before Ascending start shifting Gilds onto the first five damage Heroes, that is Treebeast, Ivan, Brittany, Samurai and Seer. It doesn't matter which one in particular each lands on but use the 2 HS random deguild option rather than the 80 HS Gild to this hero option to save on HS.

Use the degilding calc here http://theriebel.de/gilding/ to calculate the best way to degild on to those five Heroes.

Once you are passing zone 500 before Ascending it is time to shift all of your Gilds onto Samurai. You can use the degilding calculator again if you want, but by this stage 80HS a Gild will be seeming like a much smaller price compared to how many HS you earn each Ascension.

Once you can instakill with Samurai until he reaches level 2,100 you will want to start shifting Gilds to Atlas. Instakilling meaning that as long as you keep Samurai leveling as gold comes in monsters die as soon as they spawn without you seeing their healthbar.

Once you can level Atlas to 1,700 while still instakilling you can start to shift Gilds to Terra.

Repeat the process each time your current Gilded hero can instakill to 1,700.

1,500 is fine, but 1,700 gives you a bit of a safety margin so you don't bork your progression speed accidentally.

oh noes aha. Well, they dont seem to matter early. I look forward to being able to assign them for efficiency. As I mentioned in another thread, I am a hoarder and like to collect all the things when I can, is it possible to get ALL the heroes gilded at the same time or is that just unreasonable to expect? Also is there a cap to the amount of times each hero can be gilded? (I don't need to MAX gild every hero for my OCD, just get them all gold if possible)

Yes it is entirely possible to get a Gild on each hero if you really want(aside from Cid, who can't be Gilded). It may not be the most efficient thing to do, but you certainly can do so if you want. There is no maximum on how many Gilds can be on a single Hero.

You can get a total of 463 Gilds from progressing through zones without purchasing any from the shop.
