when u get to e^60+ (iirc) the annoying thing is converting from the -illions system to the scientific notation. eventually, u get more used to scientific and just check that option.
I think the way Cookie Clicker did it was the best, outside of scientific notation- Each of those made sense. Qa is quadrillion, Qi is quint, Sx is sex, Sp is sept... But this? I have no idea what # or ! or $ means. There's no logic with those symbols.
Scientific notation it is, then.
1K = 1,000 = One Thousand
1M = 1,000K = One Million
1B = 1,000M = One Billion
1T = 1,000B = One Trillion
1q = 1,000T = One Quadrillion
1Q = 1,000q = One Quintillion
1s = 1,000Q = One Sextillion
1S = 1,000s = One Septillion
1O = 1,000S = One Octillion
1N = 1,000O = One Nonillion
1d = 1,000N = One Decillion
1U = 1,000d = One Undecillion
1D = 1,000U = One Duodecillion
1! = 1,000D = One Tredecillion
1@ = 1,000! = One Quattuordecillion
1# = 1,000@ = One Quindecillion
1$ = 1,000# = One Sexdecillion
1% = 1,000$ = One Septendecillion
1^ = 1,000% = One Octodecillion
1& = 1,000^ = One Novemdecillion
1* = 1,000& = One Vigintillion
A lot > 1,000* < A lot

Yw.
And referencing a chart like this, whether it's actually added to the Steam version or not, is just tedious. Besides, scientific notation tells you exactly how many orders of magnitude there are between numbers. From Frostleaf to Dread Knight, S to U really doesn't tell me how far it is, and even looking at the chart, it'll still take some mental calculation to know just how big a gap you have.
Scientific notation, on the other hand: e28 to e40. 12 orders of magnitude. Simple, intuitive, easy to understand. Done.
But for gold, I get it, however I hate looking at my hero souls, all messed up in numbers because they are still just sort of 200k per ascension and total being 2.000k before I spend on anything. It makes scientific notations obnoxious overall for me.
Once you get passed "A Lot", you reach scientific notations either way.
Sounds like you've just gotten used to the numbering system, then.
Unfortunately yes :( Idling to 1900.
scientific notation is definitely more standardised... and after you hit "a lot" like reksel mentioned, you have no choice but to learn it. and after you've gotten used to e^X you never look back. so if this game isn't good for anything else, it teaches people to get used to scientific notation :)
lol.
! is shift+1 on the keyboard. Numerically speaking, you're following the keyboard.
d is 10
U is +1 to d, 11
D is +2 to d, 12
! is +1 to D, 13
@ is +2 to D, 14
# is +3 to D, 15
$ is +4 to D, 16
% is +5 ro D, 17
^ is +6 to D, 18
& is +7 to D, 19
and * is +8 to D, 20.
for FrostLeaf to Dread now S to U easily tells you how much you're looking at.
10k U, which, is 10D because every 1000 U is a D
s is 6
S is 7
O is 8
N is 9
d is 10
so on.
2k S is 2O. You're 4 brackets of wealth change away from owning him.
That however, translates in huge chunks of zones, or SUPER LONG farming. around 270-320, depending on how fast you're clearing the stages, you'll make enough.
But you'l make enough for Frostleaf at like half that.
10D is 10kU is 10kkd is 10kkkN is 10kkkkO (replace any k with 3 zeroes, if you desire)
Now of course. My representation of their connection is purely with their name. Their name has nothing to do with specifically how many zeroes they have, etc. "Novemdecillion" doesn't have 19, 190 or 7 more than duodecillion zeroes.
In the US it is 1 followed by 60 zeroes
and in Great Britain its 1 followed by 114 zeroes (youwch, nearly double the worth...)
Its just "19" or 7+12 because "Novem" + "deci"llion is 9, 10, and llion
Viginti + million = 20
Novem+deci = 19
octo+deci = 18
etc
etc
Which only works if you assume to use a specific keyboard layout (implied by the 'the').
Because 8,000 billion is actually 8 trillion. It's like measuring something in thousands of millimeters instead of just using meters.
Anyway, I decided to try out Scientific Notation, even though I wasn't too familiar with it. I'm glad I did. It makes the game a whole lot clearer.
