Regilding to Rangers (Atlas, Terra, etc)

I must be missing something with regilding to Rangers (currently Atlas). I have combined a lot of information scoured from here, the Wiki, etc but still feel like I am clueless with this process.

34 gilds Samurai
80 gilds Atlas
4 gilds Phthalo
1 gild Orntchya

When I use this:

to see which hero to upgrade, the highest level it has given me for Atlas is 66 which is way below the 1500 target. Is it because I have so many gilds still on Samurai? If I remove most of the gilds from Samurai, how will I get enough gold to get to Atlas?

Also, this:

tells me I should have Iris at 158 but even at 91 I have to backtrack to 69+ to earn enough gold to buy addition hero levels to progress. It also has Ancients way out of line with other suggestions so I basically don't use it to update Ancients anymore except for the HS target which I only use as a basis to calculate updates for my Ancients.
Note: I add my QA amount of HS to the target to give me a buffer.

Currently my Ancients are:
Argaiv 589 (+1178% Gilded damage per gild)
Chronos 1 (+5 seconds to Boss Fight)
Iris 91 (+91 to starting zone)
Libertas 551 (+8805% gold while idle)
Mammon 551 (+2755% gold dropped)
Mimzee 551 (+27550% Gold from Treasure Chests)
Siyalatas 580 (+9240% idle DPS)
Solomon 435 (+635% Primal Hero Souls)

MAXED: Atman, Bubos, Dogcog, Dora, Fortuna, Khrysos, Kumawakamaru, Revolc & Vaagur

My highest zone so far is 1334 but with the regilding, I am running in the 1200's. Am I just trying to get way ahead of myself or am I not understanding this process? Should I get Morgulis and start dumping HS into him?

From what I can see, your Solomon is way, way too high (with your Iris too low). You'll want to focus on your other ancients right now.

As for ascending with Iris (at any level), make sure you have a clickable on screen when you do, that'll solve all your starting gold problems.

Why are your gilds not on one hero right now? Pick either Samurai or Atlas (only if you can instakill to Samurai level 2500) and move all of them on that one.

I am assuming I am in mid-game (Z1001-2000). Is that correct? And I see I have some adjusting to do. Do these look correct now:

Argaiv = Siya+9 to Argaiv = Siya
Iris = Solomon-360 to 300 (?)
Libertas / Mammon / Mimzee = Siya*.95 to Siya*.93
Solomon = Siya*.75 to ?

Not sure what Iris & Solomon should be since I think I am in mid-game

I was able to insta-kill with Samurai before I started regildling to Atlas but was confused about the starting gold issue so was only moving Samurai to Atlas gradually until I could see if it would work. I will ungild Samurai and regild to Atlas (someone said to leave 1 gild on Samurai?), upgrade Iris & leave a clickable on the screen. I was clearing all clickables before ascending because I lost rubies when I redid an ascension or two but will leave them from now on.

You shouldn't need to leave anything on Samurai.

Iris level should be Solomon - 300 (so 135 in your case), and Solomon should be somewhere between Siya*.5 and Siya*.75 (I'm presonally using Siya*.5, considering how expensive it is to level up Solomon).

You're still early game for the solomon ratios. My Siya is 1700 and I'm still using .70+, and the calculator says I'm ready to move all my gilds to Banana (Orntchya), and it's not too much effort to keep it at .70+. Once you can't get 6-8 solomon levels per ascension, then you've pushed it too far.

For Iris, you either want a clickable or you want to use Khrysos.

The way to use Khrysos, and I use it at Iris 598 quite successfully, is this.

Buy Natalia. Bump up to zone 50-70, where you can insta kill
Buy Cid up to where you get Clickstorm
Buy Midas to Golden clicks
jump to your iris level (press a) and active clickstorm and golden clicks and you'll have tons of cash to level your gilded hero. In my case I get enough in the first 10 seconds to level atlas to 250 and buy 200-300 of every hero above. Once I get frostleaf's Fridgid Enchant I'm insta killing, even though I'm not idle.

If this doesn't give enough cash, your Iris is actually too low. 598 is higher then a lot of people with Siya way higher then mine keep it, but if we're using Solomon - 300 then I should be at level 900. If I use optimal ascension level (zone 1700) - 1002 (mid game formula) then I should have Iris at 698. There's an incredibly good chance Iris 698 wiht a clickable or Khrysos would allow me to insta buy Phthalo. instead of starting off on atlas, so it would be far more efficient (runs would be about 30 mins then) to follow the rules of thumb math.

I am in the process of dumping Samurai (currently down to 7) and hopefully he will be gone by the time I regild to Atlas.

I will upgrade Iris and consider lowering Solomon although I have probably been averaging 5+ Sols per ascension. Will have to see once I get Ancients "fixed". LOL

The 6-8 Solomon levels is a VERY helpful indicator!

Since I am playing idle style, I'm wondering if your plan will work for me but I will give it a try. I have Khrysos maxed but it isn't enough to get really going. I have been leveling these heroes and buying the upgrades to get the DPS bonuses but maybe that's the wrong approach:
Fisherman 75
Betty 75
Leon 75
Broyle 10
Amenhotep 50
Beastlord 75
Shinatobe 25
Grant 50
Frostleaf 50

Sounds like I definitely need to bump up Iris a LOT so will give that a try also.

I'm totally idle too. I just don't always have a clickable, cause I'm a bit ocd about clicking on them for the rubies. So about half the time I end up using the golden clicks method. I still haven't completed 250k clicks either, so that gives me something like 600 more clicks each time I start up that way and at 60% completion now. 200-300 more acensions with that method and I'll get the achievement.. lol

Try bumping up Iris at 10 a time and eventually you'll find a level where your primary hero or your stepping stone hero (stepping stone is that I have one gild on atlas and all the rest on phthalo) can be instantly leveled enough, often times 1 level does it, to do most your damage when you do the clickable or the gold clicks/clickstorm method

I usually level all the heroes above my primary dps to 200. I get enough cash for doing that pretty much instantly once I'm on my iris level.

And.. I don't see Midas on your list of heroes you usually upgrade. Def upgrade him for the cash boost.

The other reason my Iris ended up so high is so I could relic farm. I raised it 200 when relics came out and it's really convenient to be able to zoom through and always get a relic within about 650 levels of insta-killing. I have 12% boost to primal heroes now so I don't always reset right after I get a relic now, but I wouldn't mind some better secondary stats. Primal heroes + chance of 10x gold or -hero hiring cost or chance or rubies or <insert other maxable ancient> would be awesome to get

LOL I'm OCD about rubies also... especially since I lost several when I waited to ascend, clicked & got them and then went back & reascended for one reason or another... losing the rubies.

Hmm... stepping stone hero... that must be why I remember someone saying to keep 1 gild on Samurai after moving to Atlas. If you have 1 gild on Atlas but are using Phthalo, did you skip Terra? Or is Atlas just the easiest to keep as a stepping stone hero?

I was levelilng all heroes to their top upgrade level & then buying all the upgrades. But I found that doing that really didn't help much. In fact, I think it was more expensive. Not sure I understand the "I usually level all the heroes above my primary dps to 200". Primary DPS hero? So for you that would be Phthalo?

I was wondering about Midas but the 25/50 gold upgrade didn't sound like much of an advantage and not worth the cost but maybe I'll give it a try and add him to my list.

12% boost to primal heroes is AWESOME! I am at 10% so slowly getting there. My 4th relic is +775% gold from treasure chests so I'm not really anxious to get another primal & lose that chest bonus. LOL

Any advantage to gold is good, plus, it's not like Midas is expensive at that point.

Once I get to Atlas, I am able to insta-kill past his level 1500. Should I start regilding to Terra or work on getting a handle on the starting gold situation first?

I buy Atlas right away and get him/her to about 300 then I level everything above to 200 or so.. sometimes it ends up higher cause i spam click them really fast. It probably doesn't help much but I just do it for the sake of it..

Someone else suggested Atlas as my stepping stone so that's the one I used.

Dump your save in to the Amazon calculator and it will tell you if you're ready to regild on the heroes tab. Just make sure you have some souls for it to work right, either because you're at end of your run or because you have some you didn't dump in to Morg.

I would go slow on moving to Terra though, maybe wait till it says 3% boost or something. I found that unless I constantly was buying hero levels I was slowing down quite frequently after I moved to Terra. That might also have been because I was starting to lose attention and letting idle do it's thing..

Amazon Calculator is showing Terra at 4.4% (green) and Atlas at 0.7% (white) so I guess it's time to move to Terra. All the rest are negative. But first I want to get the starting gold worked out or at least a better handle on how to proceed in the beginning. I did use the Clickstorm & Golden Clicks but it still doesn't seem to be enough gold to start but I only do 1k on Samurai and then let it farm until I'm actually ready to do a run. Does anyone ever regild to Dread Knight? I just totally skipped him since it seems the consensus is Samurai to Atlas.

I don't have Morg yet although he is in my current Summon group. I thought he was for much later in the game so haven't purchased him yet plus it's kinda scary giving him so many HS at once and they can't be reclaimed (although that is true of any of the ancients). Last run I had 93k+ HS at ascension and this next run I will be able to QA again (every 2-3 runs) which will add another almost 91k HS so should not have a problem regilding to Terra although I will probably only do 10-20 per run to start.

If you have your main damage and gold guys over 500, definitely get the Morgulis guy already. One advantage to him is that you can't accidentally spend your hero soul base on other guys, it gets locked into permanent damage boost. I have a similar lvl to your dmg/gold guys and have morgulis at 366,666. My siylatus, mammon, libertas, mimzee, arvaiv are at 600.

Wow! I was thinking I could wait quite awhile before getting Morgulis but sounds like I need to get him now and start dumping HS into him. I have been keeping a buffer over and above the Ancients Calculator target but nowhere near what you have although combined with the target, it is now sitting at almost 404k HS.

Do you also have free HS or is most everything in Morgulis?
