Second time around, when to ascend?

I finally managed to kill the level 140 boss on my 2nd time around and was wondering if it's normal for people to ascend at level 150 on their 2nd time around? I'll never be able to afford to buy dreadknight and upgrading frostleaf past 125 just gives me such a minimal amount of dps increase it's not worth the gold.

Should I just ascend at level 150 this time around? Is it better on my next time around to ignore the higher level heros and just power level one of them like samuria or something?

If you killed the 140 boss on your second run you might be spending too much time grinding. Quick runs are more efficient than deep runs. Deep runs waste too much time.

I got to Dread Knight around my 25th-30th ascension. Just ignore him for now & concentrate on Hero Souls. When the accumulation slows down, ascend. Remember to spend your gold on as many Hero Levels as you can before ascending. This will give you max HS per ascension.

I will say you that in your first ascension got 7 souls, next one 8-10. Next one you will have like 15-17 and you should aim a little more like 18. Its not complicated if you go like that, and everytime you double your quantity. More ahead (like lvl 1000) maybe you should try to get the same you have or a little less, cause the game goes slowly.
