Relics: What is Useful and what is not?

I recently aquired my first 4 relics (through ascencion and spending 40 rubies. don't judge me) and i now question the usefullness of the items i have:
-Silver Azurite of Death (Common Level 1): 10% added to Hero Soul DPS: Useful at first but if there is an upgrade or something better found soon, i may replace it.
-Spartan Guard of Abandonment (Uncommon Level 4) : +20%dps when idle, -1% boss health, +5% Primal Hero Souls: This may only get replaced if i get an upgrade to this item
-Runeblade of Accuracy (Common Level 3): +3 Seconds to Lucky Strikes: Now that i have the Spartan Guard, I will dispose of this when i get a better relic.
-Copper Mark of Wealth (Common Level 4) +60% gold from Golden Clicks: This isn't as bad as the Runeblade for me but im still going to get rid of it when i get better relics.

Please Respond with some of your own relic finds and their abilities and wheter you like them or not

+4 seconds to duration of lucky strike

Clay Emblem of Battery Life
Common lvl 42
+42 seconds to duration of metal detector

Ranger Gloves of Wallops
Rare lvl 39
+28 seconds to duration of Super Clicks
+11 seconds to duration of Powersurge

So i think the nr 2 is awesome, +3% chanse of primal bosses... :O will be crazy if its ever possible to get 100% primal bosses :)

wow thats pretty cool having perma clickstorm, now you can play an active build just by pushing the number keys

im sure its not quite as many clicks as a real auto clicker or active player but its still interesting

Yeah its kinda enuff, your just waiting for the crits anyway, would be cool if there are higher crit chance on items.

I think by 1070 you get around 25-30k souls per run if you leveled your ancients correctly.

But you need to level up them first...
And I think reaching level where 50 rubies will give you 5000 hero souls is the best way to do it. Moreover, every 10-th level will give you one more hero gild...

and i spent my rubies for glide hero. it's tempting to use it for souls but meh- i'll get plenty of soul eventually.

u can't buy glide level with souls, u can only buy glide effectiveness. So buying souls with rubies waste for long term strategy.

For starters gilds is better choice.
Because you'll get +80-150% bonus from your souls after 1st ascention already, and just a few gilds for reaching level 140-150...

How far are you? It depends on how many Souls it would net you, but keep in mind 3 extra gilds only gives you a small amount of DPS, while Souls give you an extra 10% a pop. Relics are kind of a waste, I think, since you're pretty much guaranteed one per ascension, and most people do runs that last 1 hour at the most.

Souls give +10% DPS, Morgulis gives you +11% DPS for every point you put in it.
And he is really cheap compared to all the others.
MAybe I was lucky to finally get him as my 5th ancient.


Gilded is +50% hero soul DPS for a single hero. This stacks forever, and can boost your DPS a lot in the beginning, and especially if you're lucky enough to get high tier heroes with it.

Morgulis is really a waste to use your hero souls early on, thats the last ancient you get.
Its allways better to buy Hero souls with ur gems, unless you feel like spending them and dont care for the little extra progress you get when picking hero souls. I get 1,2m hero souls each time i buy that. when i do an hour run and ascend i get about 800k.

People have gone over this on forums and redit, and as far as i can see the relics havent show up that good yet.. sure i have 2 relics with +3% primal bosses.. thats whats worth, and maybe getting a perma spell that lasts forever. Otherwise all upgrades on relics are ♥♥♥♥ :)

So allways spend gems on hero souls.. unless you dont care to do it efficient and want to do it your own way :)

Yeah, I'm still early on in the game, still haven't gotten Death Knight. My highest zone is 155.

It's really difficult for me to imagine using rubies on Quick acesntion at the moment.

I get 13 if I do it. I haven't done it once.

Perhaps I'll try for it later.

That said, Quantity has a quality all to it's own.

It's more fun to play a game to have fun, than play the game and have no fun by following a set path.

yeah thats true, ah taht early in that case it could be good to do relics, i dont know how good stats you get, my relics are level 45-49.
And dont bother with dread knight.. just level treebeast, ivan or brittany. if you have gilded in 1 of them, thats the one you go for. The damage it increases after level 200 will become better and less expensive then frostleaf, and when you hit level 1000, the damage increase is sick. I trained brittany as it was the one i had gilded in, when i reatched level 4000 on her and hit my limit of world lvl 1200 it was time to move all gilds to samurai to go even higher :)

trying to get dread knight will just waste your time, and the progress wont be as good. :) Hope it helps you to get further. but remember its not done in an instance, ive had this game running for 45 days xD
