You ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up, dev's. Fix it fast.
More updates are being worked on? Great, will likely keep people playing and attract new players. Good all around.
Dev's made a mistake? No problem, they're human and are working on a fix. Fine.
But excuse us for being beta despite not mentioning anywhere on the platform that drew me to the game? ♥♥♥♥ that.
If you want to be up front about the state of your game to the people you want to play, and hopefully pay for, your beta game, then clearly mark it as a beta game. Simple.
If you mislead the customers by not disclosing the true state of the game then you cannot after the fact say it's your fault for playing a beta, be glad we let you. Paraphrasing, obviously.
I'm not at all upset and I have no respect for dishonourable business practices.

Here's the description of the game from the store page, which does not contain any sort of disclaimer:
"About This Game
Ever wondered what one quadrillion damage per second feels like? Wonder no more! Embark on your quest to attain it today!
Start out by clicking on the monster to kill them, and get their gold. Spend that gold on hiring new heroes and get more damage. The more damage you deal, the more gold you will get. Feel the power as you grow exponentially and become the greatest ever!
Hire 35 unique heroes to help you do damage without having to click! Meet legendary figures from myth and legend, such as Athena, Amenhotep, King Midas, and more! They will all lend their sword to your cause, for a cost.
These guys' damage per second makes your MMO characters look like kindergarteners. Spend your hard-earned loot on upgrading them to gain special powers to aid you in getting even more gold!
Click your way to defeat powerful monsters. Fight over 100 different monsters, all beautifully drawn and animated.
Watch out for the bosses!
Need to do the laundry? Give the puppy a shower? No worries! Your heroes will farm monsters and automatically collect the gold while you're gone, even when the game is closed. But don't forget to come back and spend all that sweet gold on new heroes and upgrades!"
But really, I've no desire to go around and around with you. Keep on misleading and have a nice life.
I agree with OP. Once you start having a paying model for your game, you are out of beta and have enterered the real market, beta is no longer a valid excuse for dumb things in the game. Updating bugs and errors with patches is a good thing though.
Games can't be allowed to stay in Beta indefinitely to avoid complaints and bad reviews. It's a bad practice in the market that we as consumers need to react to.
They are allowed to have dumb things in their games, but they wouldn't be able to use "beta" as an excuse.
But it does though, because the argument "it's still in development" will be there as an invincible shield against everything as long as the game is in an eternal beta. There is almost no drawback from never going out of beta, which is annoying.
AAA titles often do the complete opposite, and that is even more annoying. They release complete games when they are buggy as hell and even unplayable, the first customers are almost like beta testers until the developers have released those first major bugfixes.
what about hearthstone? While it was in closed and open beta the game had a form of purchasing cards.
To do this go to: https://www.itshax.com/Clicker-Heroes/pro-mode#page-0 and import save.
Once decoded, find the "uniqueId" value and change the second last digit. Now scroll up and copy the encoded save and import that to your game. Now check the clan tab and it wll ask for you name. You will no longer be in a clan.
