"Endgame" tips?
My highest zone so far is 1473. I have over 2.2e5 hero souls, and every ancient except Hecatoncheir and Berserker. I've moved all 134 of my Gilds to Lilin. I even have a few mercs at Demigod + 5 or higher. Is there any particular strategy at this point? Should I just be ignoring the non-ranger heroes? The Guides are almost exclusively for earlier game stuff, just flat out fake jokes/cheating, or have a lot of statistics and very little advice.

There is no thing as an endgame I would say.
For your sake it's just to keep leveling Ancients optimally, apart from that the game doesn't offer much more. Keep setting goals, Siya to x lvl, reach zone x, etc.
And you have a lot of heroes left to gild aswell..!

At a later point you can think about going hybrid?

The FAQ is more meant for new players since its normally just new players that ask really :P

I know that, that's why I put it in quotes, but from here on, it's just more of the same: ascend, upgrade ancients, do merc quests, regild, repeat.

I'm already at that point, I told you.

You are still mid game, unless you are doing a super deep run(which is bad without clicking ancients) then you would be better off guilded at atlas/terra and doing quick runs.

2000+ is endgame imo

Rangers are at their best at roughly lvl1000-1500. This means that if you can get your gilded ranger to ~lvl 1500 and he is still insta killing monsters you can safely move your gilds to the next hero. This has been calculated, tested and put on a graph if you would like to have a look http://i.imgur.com/HK5c7Xi.png

Here is some ideas/goals:
-Get Iris to high enough level so that with the help of a clickable you can start a run with your gilded hero. This also makes your effective runs a bit shorter (25 minutes maybe?)
-Try to find relics with + seconds to clickstorm on top of having +% chance of primal bosses and/or +% hero souls. With Chawedo and a total of +60 seconds duration from relics you can run clickstorm permanently (for easy juggernaut stacks). Finding these might be a bit tough :)
-With a permanent clickstorm do a really deep run (1-1,5k floors higher than normal runs?) after a few days of climbing the floors in idle mode. An hour of active clickstorming and strategic activation of golden clicks + metal detector should take you maybe 400 floors higher than the point where you started using em. This should up your mercenary HS rewards for a long time since the base value is based on your HZE.

I'm almost there...

I usually just move all my gilds as soon as I unlock the next ranger...

you can play however you want of course, but its better to do it like K0rkki said.
The rangers get a x5 bonus (instead of x4) for every 25 lvls from 500 to 725. Their cost-efficiency wont catch up with the previous ranger (which already has the bonuses) until after that, and only after lvl 1000(x10 boost), the new ranger will be noticably stronger than the previous. You can afford lvl 1000 around the time when the previous ranger is at lvl 1500, thats why ppl say 1000-1500 is the ideal lvl for rangers.

moving gilds too quickly is detrimental to your overall dps. there are calculators out there which assist you with gilding and ancient optimization. as to your question, it is up to you whether or not you're interested in the game enough to set your own goals. you could try finding a clan and discuss strategy/do immortals.
btw, i'm currently at a HZE of around 2k, and i still consider myself to be midgame.

The Pug is right for Hybrid 100%! I run until Zone 2000 idlying and then if I don't ascend, I go hybrid up to 2800 or something...
So I have Lilin at level 225 now, should I just stop bothering with anyone besides Cid and the Rangers now? I mean, even after I ascend. For example, my frostleaf is only level 300 right now. And nobody earlier is over level 200.

Just to clarify, are you trying to play optimally, or just push your HZE ?
For actual gilding levels and optimal play I would like to direct you to the FAQ, since its a very long thing to explain.
But for your actual question: anything that is not gilded is not worth lvling more then say 200 lvls. You just want the upgrades from non-gilded heroes.

There's a difference?

OK good.

Optimal play is basically doing everything the "best way". Level ancients according to the math people have worked out, gild the most efficient hero, ascend at the optimal time, etc.
Pushing HZE is just.. pushing HZE :P

Yes, you will get a higher HZE while playing optimal, but not in the beginning. Its more focused on getting more souls. You ascend when you stop instakilling, no pushing zones.

I thought you get more souls from a higher HZE anyway

Also I stop "instakilling" way early, like at zone 1000 or less. Is it really that profitable to ascend before you even get a single gild?
