progress after reaching the point where clicking becomes necessary
i'm not stuck, i just want to know if there's any way to progress at high level without having to keep the game open all the time. when i close the game they're not progressing and spending jewels on time skips does nothing anymore either. it just seems terrible at this point.

From my experience the game has to be kept open but that isn't too bad as if you lock the games fps to 30 it'll use basically no cpu/gpu/memory usage in the background while you can do other things.

still annoying since i also want to play other games from time to time.

You should be able to still play other games while it's in the background unless the device you are on is that old.

Interesting, maybe mess around with your settings. I can run clicker heroes in the background while playing anything else just fine

i'd be curious which settings would apply to that. i've never heard about steam being able to run multiple games at once

Are you running it in full screen? I have it minimized in the background all the time so maybe that has something to do with it.

no, i run games only windowed. it's just simply that steam automatically quits every currently running game whenever i start a different one.

actually nevermind. i just saw that clicker heroes doesn't get quit when it's minimized. i'm not sure what the mechanic is behind that, but okay. glad i found this out.

ye its a setting. i sometimes play more than 3 games in steam at the same time. dunno wich setting it is right now though

Since I play "some" idle games, I always have 6 to 9 games in steam open and working.

Also I have no clue, which setting prevents multiple games.

One question, do yo play via steam deck? I do not have one, but I can think, this may be a point.

no, i'm honestly not even sure what steam deck is

Steam Deck is a mobile gaming device made by Valave. Imagine a nintendo switch but bulkier and can connect to your steam library and will let you play games on the go

That is background idling and the auto clickers that you can buy with rubies included in the game are for.
