How many times ascend vs transcend?

So I assume like ascend first and get as far as I can and then transcend? but what about after that? should I keepmixing the two and get further ahead each time? or like what's the deal?

Like Ascend 1 - Level 100
Ascend 2 - Level 200
Transcend - Level 300
Ascend - Level 400
Acendd Level 600

or what could I do in terms of mixing them up or should I just choose one two or three times after eachother, please give me some explanation :) thank you!

You ascend until progress slows drastically. Then you transcend. Repeat.
