Maximum Transcendent Power? 25% or 24.99% ?

When the whole Transcention concpet was first introduced I thought I read somewhere that Transcendent Power maxed out at 25%. In my last Transcention (about 3 months ago) I was at a point in the game where I thought I would finally have had enough AS to hit that magical number. But my Transcendent Power only got to 24.99%.

Earlier today I watched a youtube video of a player crossing the 1 million level mark and noticed that their Transcendent Power was only 24.99%. So it apperas that 24.99% the effective cap.

If getting an even 25% is actually possible, does anyone have any idea how many AS would actually be needed to do so?

fwiw, I've never heard of 25%, only 24.99% (which I hit in the later 200ks).
Perhaps it was something being tossed around in the betas but never implemented? ni

When i remember it right, some where near 450k you get 25%. But you need too transcend too get it. So in the youtube video the player has not transcended after he past the 450k. When he next time transcend, he will have 25%.

FYI: I hit 445k+ HZE in my last Ascenscion. I still have 9,000+ AS to spend on Borb in my current Trans... so (theroretically) I should be able to hit an even 25% when I next Transcend (that is, assuming that I won't be able to get to 1,000k HZE in my current Trans as I plan to essentially stop there with CH1).

Well this is interesting... I just finished my current Transcension (which I started about 4 1/2 months ago and during which I created this thread). I had 39,614 AS at the time and upon Transcending just now I added another 36,882 for a total AS count of 76,493. New HZE 789,154.

My Transcendent Power STILL shows 24.99% !!!

Oh well... This should be my penultimate run. I'll only need to Transcend 1 more time to get the 1e5 AS achievement and after that I should be done with or pretty close to having the remaining Achievements on my list done as well (Bury 100, then 200 Mercs; Revive 500 Mercs and Beat Zone 1 Million)

Hey greedy, might I ask why you did transcend again at around 800k? From my understanding and your previous 40k AS you did already have, were you not able to get to zone 1.000.000 within your last transcension?

I have 30k AS at the moment, and all calculators did show me that I could reach zone 1.000.000 just by putting it all into borb and ascending a couple hundred times...that is starting from zone 300k and going straight to the million.

Are you not wastig a huge amount of time there, or do you plan to go even further and this was the most optimal point to transcend for that reason?

I had to Transcend. I was unable to further progress past the next Boss and an Ascension to keep going in the current Trans was out of the question for me. I don't use calculators and my Outsiders were not allocated optimally for getting me past the 1 million zone mark during that run and as a result my monsters/zone had climed to 14 when I stopped progressing (that last Ascension was brutal from a time perspective as a result).

When I first started getting AS and leveling Outsiders I leveled R/K/O/S incrementally in the earlier Transcensions simply to extend the number of zones that their associated numbers were kept 'up' (and I kept enough unspent AS to keep leveling Borb as that became necessary; I eventually stopped leveling those other to keep focus on Borb). Anyway, this AS approach allowed me to get to higher zones in my individual Ascensions within my Transcensions. Which was all well and good. However, I really should have reallocated my AS as part of that last Trans but I was comfortable with what I was doing and actually wanted to see just how far my approach to the game would get me (as opposed to the conventional wisdom of "All Borb").

Here is what I had regarding my Outsiders when I ended that last Trans:

As expected, comparing my first couple Ascensions in this Trans to those of my previous Trans I am definitely not getting as far with ths new AS allocation but by the time I get back to the 1 million zone area I will still be dealing with 2 monsters/zone and therefore it will be better as I will apparently sustain 2 monsters/zone up through zone 1.8 million:

It takes a while to realize and some more to get over ones' reluctancy to change playstyle, but in the end it is ALL HAIL BORB :D:D

I am also not comfortable using any calculator that eats your save, but found one where you could actually put in your number of AS and it gave me the optimal allocation. That was whilst I was in the middle of my transcension after reaching zone 300k, so fortunately I did only loose about a month.
But still, the speed at which I am currently going is extremely slow...sometime in 2019 I will have finished zone 1mil, and gotten all the ingame achievments as well at that point (mercs revived are at 311, that will take me the longest).

My HZE is at 440k at the moment, and depending on if I reach any hero upgrade I gain from 12k to 2k more levels with one ascension. Outsiders are currently at:

That should take me to zone 980.000 from where on out monsters per zone will increse again, but the last stretch should still be possible.


Might I ask if you are using rubies to speed up your ascensions? Mine take about 100 hours each without that.
But between reviving mers and adding more autoclickers I find no extra rubies to do that. ACs are currently at 10, and for highest cost to revive I take all under 100 rubies. That means mercs above level 13 will not be revived.

I only spend Rubies on buying Autoclickers and reviving Mercs. I'm not sure where the cutoff is for Merc revive cost but it seems that if it is 68 or lower I will generally spend the Rubies to revive. Otherwise it is too expensive for my tastes.

When Autoclickers were first introduced and it was considered a good practice to have 50 Rubies available before Transcending in order to purcahse a Quick Ascension in order to help out during the 1st run following a new Trans I got into the habit of creating a Ruby Bank... I would save up twice the cost of the next Autoclicker plus another 100. Only after I had that saved up I would buy my next Autoclicker. This approach ensured that I would always have enough Rubies on hand for any QA purchases required for any Trans that would be done while I re-built up my Ruby stockpile. Even though the need to purchase QA's went away with the 1e10 or 1e11 update I left my formula in place.

As far as getting Rubies: I try to send all my Mercs on 4 hour or less Ruby quests. If none is available I send them on the shortest available non-Ruby quest. I also click on those Orange fish things and get anywhere from 10-25 Rubies a day that way (once Revolc is maxed out).

I currently have 23 Autoclickers and 1,792 Rubies stockpiled. Once I reach 2,600 I'll purchase my next AC (for 1,250). At some point I will stop buying AC's and just use my built up Ruby stockpile to purchase QA's and/or Time-Lapses as I feel is necessary.

Regarding your current progress (HZE 440,000 and increasing that by 2k - 12k depending on whether or not you unlock a Hero's upgrade) I know exactly where you are as I only just recently got past the Cadu/Ceus grind. Progress increases significantly once you can get The Maw. I was able to purchase The Maw in my Ascension following the one where I sputtered out at around zone 505,000. Once I had The Maw I found I could usually get 1 of their upgrades (sometimes 2 I think) during each subsequent Ascenscion. I'm not sure why your current Ascensions are taking you 100 hours - it looks like I was doing 55 - 65 hours for my runs from HZE 436,000 to HZE 505,00.

I'm not sure why your current Ascensions are taking you 100 hours - it looks like I was doing 55 - 65 hours for my runs from HZE 436,000 to HZE 505,00.

Wow, that is some good news...so in about a month there is some light at the end of this grindy tunnel. I was seriously starting to wonder why people who had some advantage over me were getting so much further ahead in the month following the last update.

Most probably you are letting your machine run 24/7 or can at least check/upgrade heroes more often that me? When I come home from work progress is often halted because the game does only get so far when closed until the previously bought levels/hero upgrades are not enough to kill the curent boss.
Even though I do all the little tweaks like shifting gilds around, that should be where the timeloss occurs. There will also be an extremely minor loss of progress due to the fact that I am only ammassing juggernaut combo at the very end of my run in this case, as the rest of my ascension has to be 'idle' because every shutdown of the game does kill the whole combo.


My current merc strategy looks a bit different. I am going for 5min quests first, if they are not available I do take the longest one to ensure the merc dies faster overall (once again also because I do only fire up the game about twice a day).
As I am about 200 quest away from every ingame achievement and about 700 5min quests away from that specific on, maybe it would make sense to switch to your 'ruby strategy' from now on, as the other quests will come naturally when there is none for available for rubies.



I will make sure to update in this thread once I do hit major milesones...let's see if you are able to catch up to me:)

So...I finally did it and went past the million mark!

It did get really close though, because there is the '100k Ancient Souls' achievement, and you do only reach that at around zone 1.040.000. By that time my mpz were up above 10 already, and I was only able to push to 1.050.000 before it would have taken another ascension taking ten days at this point.
So make sure you do not transcend exactly at zone 1 million or you would miss the achievement.

All that is left to get 100% ingame is reviving mercs...I am currently at 394.


Oh and btw: My Transcendent Power is still only at 24,99%

My last Ascenscion ended at 944,834. I'm guessing I'll need to finish the current Ascension (another 70+ hours) and do another one after that (115+ hours) to get to zone 1 million.... so just over a week or so remains for me.

Thanks for the update on your Transcendent Power % as well. Guess the tipping point for that number (if one exists) is somewhere beyond zone 1.050e6.

I hit the million mark about 24 hrs ago. If I transcended right now, the combined AS would still be under 100k for me so it wouldn't be worth it. Current calculations suggest I can get to 1,300,000 in this current transcension. I only have the 1000 gold quests left to get in Steam achieves, not interested in the in-game achieves.
imo, finding out if the 24.99% turns over to 25% is irrelevant to me, I'm where I want to be without needing that extra .01% boost ;)

If I find anything out about the 25%, I let you know.
