Damage Efficient Hero: Samurai

So, if the samurai is the most damage efficient heroe, wouldn't it make sense to keep all gilds on him until such a point that he's maxed out?

Samurai is the most efficient early-game hero. A level 800 Atlas has more DPS than a level 2500 Samurai and costs a little more than Samurai.

Also, there's no maximum level for heroes.

I see. So, when should I consider changing the gilds, really? Right now I have the option to transfer some 40 random gilds to the Samurai, or try and go with Atlas, or Terra? Maybe when I get to around 2500 Samurai?

If you can instakill monsters with a level 2500 Samurai, it's time to regild to Atlas. From there, it's the 1525 rule until you regild to the last hero, which means that you regild to the next hero once the currently gilded hero can instakill monsters at level 1525. As in, once you can instakill monsters with a level 1525 Atlas, it'll be time to regild to the next hero.

Thanks. I've read a lot of those posts, but some things are confusing when you've never "done" it before.

You say instakill with the Samurai, but until what level? I can instakill with the Samurai all the way up to level 600 or so.

At first, I thought you were referring to Samurai's level, which didn't make sense to me until I read the next part a couple of times.

I prefer using the word "zone" (as in "Highest Zone Ever" (also known as HZE)) to refer to the monsters' level. That way, I can't confound it with "hero level" or Ancient level". But that's just me.

Anyways, last time I checked one of the helpful threads, it said that you'll end up regilding to Atlas around zone 1000 or so. Personally, I wouldn't try to memorize at what zone I should regild to which hero, mainly because I think it's easier to remember the 1525 rule (and the exceptions to it).

Once Samurai gets to about level 2475, the cost to bring Atlas to 750 is a tiny bit more than bringing samurai to 2500, once you can get atlas to 750+, you'll want to re-gild to him, At that point, once atlas reaches 1500, The next in line, which i think is Terra, can be brought to level 1000 for slightly more than the price to bring atlas to 1525, so regild to Terra, and rinse and repeat down the list of rangers, Current reaches 1500, level next to 1000, move gilds, level to 1500, raise next to 1000, move gilds.

Samurai 2475 to Atlas 750, Atlas 1500 to Terra 1000, Terra 1500 to Pthalo 1000, Pthalo 1500 to Orntchya 1000, Orntchya 1500 to Lillin 1000..And so on.
